Captain Chad Fleming (Ret.) is a highly decorated war hero who deployed five times after electing to have his leg amputated after irreparable damage. Before his distinguished career in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger, he served the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. A well-known speaker, Captain Fleming brings a wealth of unique experience both as a Deputy Sheriff and officer of an elite Special Operations Unit to LEO.
Chief Scott Edson retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) in 2017 after over 39 years of exemplary service, with his last position as the Sheriff's Department Chief of Special Operations Division which included Counterterrorism, SWAT, Air Operations, Crime Analysis and Intelligence.
Scott Kernan, CEO, brings nearly 35 years of experience in corrections and public safety to LEO Technologies. As the former Secretary of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Mr. Kernan is an expert in correctional policy. He also brings with him a lifetime of relationships with strategic partners in the public safety sector, including inmate phone service providers.
Retired Associate Deputy Attorney General Steven H. Cook served with the US Department of Justice for 33 years. He served as a federal prosecutor, with cases focusing on the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. He was also the president of the National Association of Assistant US Attorneys.
