CLAPP FAMILY LAW - Key Persons
Jennifer Clapp is passionate about her profession as a family law attorney and devoted to guiding her clients constructively and effectively through one of the most trying periods they may ever experience. She views her role as both a principled advocate and a practical, calming presence during a difficult time. Together, she and her clients lay the foundation and build the framework for the next chapter of their lives.
Jenny has practiced family law exclusively, since beginning her legal career in 2003. As a result of this concentration, she has developed the skills and expertise to help her clients navigate the legal process in a constructive and effective manner. She represents clients in a broad array of family law cases including complaints for divorce; modifications and removals; complaints for civil and criminal contempt; the preparation of pre-marital and post-nuptial agreements; mediation; and paternity proceedings. In addition to being a courtroom advocate, Jenny is a trained mediator who, when jointly engaged by a couple, facilitates the negotiation of agreements.
She has experience dividing complex marital assets including, but not limited to, closely-held business interests; executive compensation; and gifted and inherited assets. She routinely assist clients with the negotiation of child support and alimony obligations.

MADELEINE ELIE has joined the Clapp Family Law team after taking some years out of the workforce to raise her young daughter. She is a business professional with over ten years of experience in the implementation of systems for financial services companies. She has worked in large finance organizations and consulting firms where her solid management and interpersonal skills have ensured efficient teamwork between cross functional groups. She holds a Master in Business Administration from Babson College and a Master of Management in Human Productivity from the University of Sherbrooke. She is fluent in French and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
When not working, Madeleine enjoys spending time with family, skiing, and kayaking. She is looking forward to this new chapter in her career and is happy to join this dynamic experienced family law firm.

SANDY STEWART landed in family law following a career as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy. Beginning at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California, she served a follow-on staff tour in Washington, DC, where she completed her degree in business economics and public policy at George Washington University. In addition to multiple tours in Hawaii, the highlight of her time in the Navy was aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN where she became the first woman in the ship's history to qualify to stand in for the captain on the navigation bridge.
Sandy returned to Massachusetts to raise her son, and as he grew, she gradually returned to the work force, ultimately joining the Cape Cod law firm Michael I. Flores, PC, as assistant to the principal attorney. As the firm expanded, so did Sandy's responsibilities and knowledge of family law. Sandy brings this near-decade experience in family law to Clapp Family Law. When not working, Sandy enjoys walking her puggle, reading naval history, and time with friends.
