Jonathan S. Baker

Jonathan S. Baker, CPA has over 10 years of tax and accounting experience working with individuals and businesses assisting them with their financial, tax and accounting needs. Jon balances attention to detail and a hard work ethic with a consultative touch, taking pride in learning and educating himself about each of his clients. In doing so, he can best serve their needs as well as providing insightful tax advice to enable his clients to make informed financial and tax decisions. Prior to creating Cohen Baker, PLLC, Jon began his career working at two of the larger accounting firms in South Florida. This allowed him to work closely with individuals and small and large business owners to achieve their financial goals by minimizing their tax obligations. He then started his own accounting firm before joining with Mickey Cohen. Jon earned his bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University and received his state accreditation as a certified public accountant in 2010. Jon is active in the community and within the accounting profession as he has held the Chair and Treasury positions in his local chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPAs). During Jon's free time, he and his wife enjoy traveling, going to sporting events and spending time with their son.

Max A. Cohen

Max A. Cohen, CPA has devoted over 35 years working with entrepreneurial individuals and closely held businesses in the areas of accounting, taxation, and litigation support services. He is concerned about his clients' needs and focuses on solving their problems by looking for the causes behind their accounting results. Mr. Cohen has worked with companies in many industries including but not limited to retail, wholesale/distributors, legal, medical, and real estate, manufacturing, and service industries. Prior to practice, Mr. Cohen served as budget director and financial analyst at one of the nation's five largest household goods and electronics carriers. He was the Financial Vice President of the corporate general partner of publicly held Limited Partnerships and was responsible for SEC reporting, financial audits, financial reporting, budgets, and financial analysis of real estate acquisitions. Mr. Cohen received a BBA and an MBA from Tulane University and served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. His professional memberships include: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
