Amy Gosnell

Dr. Gosnell is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and surgical dermatology who joined our practice in 2012. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio Dermatologic Association, and she has authored several articles that have appeared in scientific journals. After earning her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from The Ohio State University, Dr. Gosnell went on to study medicine at Case Western Reserve University where she received the Stuart Blaine Fisher, MD award in dermatology. She then completed her dermatology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

Andrea LaTorre

Dr. LaTorre is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She joined Central Ohio Skin & Cancer in 2012. Dr. LaTorre sees patients of all ages and specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. LaTorre belongs to a number of professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio State Medical Association. She is also a distinguished member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She was born and raised near South Bend, Indiana and attended the University of Notre Dame. After graduating from Notre Dame, Dr. LaTorre earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine with honors. She completed her dermatology residency at The Ohio State University where she served as chief resident. Dr. LaTorre has authored and presented over 17 scientific articles, posters, and lectures, which have appeared in dermatology journals and at local as well as national dermatology events. During medical school, she took a special interest in Melanoma awareness and research, participating in the National Melanoma Awareness project as well as creating an awareness video. When Dr. LaTorre isn't practicing dermatology, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children: Natalie, Ryan, and Josie. An admitted Fit Bit fanatic, she also spends time running and hiking. Traveling is another passion of hers having lived in London, England for a semester in college, as well as learning and working in a hospital in Kenya, Africa during medical school. Dr. Cory Pettit

Dr. Pettit is originally from Las Vegas. He completed a neuroscience degree at Brigham Young University and then earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University. Following medical school, Dr. Pettit completed his dermatology training at Ohio State as well. Dr. Pettit has interests in medical and surgical dermatology, and is fluent in Spanish. When Dr. Pettit has free time, he enjoys watching movies, weight lifting and rock climbing. Although he is originally from Las Vegas, Dr. Pettit has since embraced all things Ohio State, and he and his family never miss a football game.

Dr. Dan Flood

Dr. Flood is originally from Columbus. He completed his pre-medical degree at the University of Dayton and his medical doctorate from Indiana University. He joined the Air Force and completed a residency in Internal Medicine from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base/Wright State University and practiced as an internist and hospitalist at Travis Air Force Base and Bagram Air Base. After separating from the Air Force, he completed his dermatology residency at Ohio State University. Dr. Flood is interested in general and surgical dermatology. In his free time, Dr. Flood enjoys exploring Columbus' Metro parks with his wife and three kids.

Dr. Sara Peters

Dr. Sara Peters specializes in dermatopathology. She came to Central Ohio Skin and Cancer after working many years as the Director of Dermatopathology at The Ohio State University where she also headed the Dermatopathology Fellowship Program. Prior to coming to Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Peters worked as the Director of Dermatopathology at Cornell University. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Peters spent her time teaching English as a professor at the University of Notre Dame.

Jennifer Nash

Dr. Nash obtained her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, graduating summa cum laude with a GPA of 3.93. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. During medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Nash passed Steps I, II, and III of the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Exam) in the 96th, 99th and 99th percentiles respectively. She completed her internship year at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and her dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Nash has been a board-certified dermatologist since 2001. Dr. Nash sees patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and specializes in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery. She has a particular interest in psoriasis, eczema, acne, autoimmune diseases, skin cancer detection and treatment, and phototherapy.

Jess DeMaria

Recently ranked as one of the top ten dermatologists in Central Ohio, Dr. DeMaria is a principal partner in Central Ohio Skin & Cancer. He specializes in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery. An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. DeMaria is the dermatology consultant for The Ohio State University Athletic Department, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Ohio High School Athletic Association's state wrestling tournament. He continues his Ohio State University affiliation and has been an active member of the teaching faculty for more than 20 years. He currently is the director of the Resident Education Program at the Chalmers Wylie Veteran's Administration Clinic and serves as a preceptor for the OSU dermatology residents. Dr. DeMaria is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Medical Association, the Ohio Dermatological Society, and The Thompson Society for Scholarship Endowment at The Ohio State University. He's also a past officer of the Central Ohio Dermatological Society and served as a member of the Ohio Dermatologic Association Board of Trustees. Dr. DeMaria earned his undergraduate degree, Summa Cum Laude, from The University of Toledo in 1981. During his undergraduate period, he was a four-year member and letterman for the University of Toledo Rocket football team. In 1985, Dr. DeMaria earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University and, over the next six years, he completed residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at The Ohio State University Hospitals. He was initially Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1991 and continues to maintain his board certification.

Kevin Donnelly

Dr. Donnelly is originally from Cincinnati. He completed a chemical engineering degree at the University of Dayton and then earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University. Following medical school, Dr. Donnelly completed his dermatology training at Ohio State as well. Dr. Donnelly has interests in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. When Dr. Donnelly has free time, he enjoys running, fitness, and travel. One of his dreams is to complete an Ironman Triathalon! Fueling him to accomplish all this is his love of coffee. He is an expert in Columbus coffee shops and is on his second round of the Columbus coffee trail.

Richard Smialek

Dr. Smialek is certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He has been practicing since 1981, in Columbus since 1985, and with Central Ohio Skin and Cancer since 2010. As a sub-specialist in laser surgery and technology for over twenty years, Dr. Smialek oversees our laser services division, providing the full spectrum of cosmetic skin laser procedures. His memberships include the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and the American Osteopathic Association, and he is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. His medical career began after earning his undergraduate pre-medical degree from Villanova University, and his Osteopathic medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed a general surgery residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey, a hand surgery fellowship at Jefferson University in Philadelphia and his plastic surgery fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. In his chief resident year, he won Beaumont's prestigious resident research award for his work in cleft lip and palate surgery.

Thomas Wenker

Dr. Wenker is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has been with Central Ohio Skin and Cancer since 2009. He specializes in both medical and surgical dermatology, with an emphasis on skin cancer detection and treatment, as well as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and infectious skin disease. Dr. Wenker completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Dayton, where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After completing an internship in general internal medicine, he completed residency training in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He belongs to many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Dermatological Association, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. As part of his commitment to dermatology, Dr. Wenker has been a guest speaker at many Columbus-area medical conferences. Dr. Wenker and his wife Amy are proud parents of two boys, Alex and Ben and daughter Elise. He enjoys anything related to home improvement.
