Dr. April Insco

Dr. April Insco is a professor and program director of Health Information Management at Roane State Community College. She is a past president of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association (THIMA) and has also served on various workgroups and committees for THIMA. She is currently the House Leadership Co-chair for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) House of Delegates (HoD). Dr. Insco obtained her Associates Degree at Roane State Community College in Health Information Technology, both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Health Informatics and Information Management at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She recently graduated in 2022 with her Ph.D. in the Health Outcomes and Policy Research program with a concentration in Health Informatics.

Dr. Rebecca Reynolds

Dr. Rebecca Reynolds is a professor and program director of Health Informatics and Information Management at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is a past Commissioner on the Commission on Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM). She is a past president of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association and has served on workgroups for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as well as on the AHIMA Nominating Committee. She has served on the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Council on Excellence in Education. She serves as editor for the THIMA Legal Handbook and as a co-editor of the AHIMA publication Fundamentals of Law for Health Informatics and Information Management. Reynolds is a recipient of the AHIMA Triumph Legacy award in 2010. She is known for expertise in legal and documentation issues through teaching numerous HIPAA, legal, and documentation workshops. She has been a fellow of the American Health Information Management Association since 2012. Her current research if funded by the NIH and focuses on identification of patterns of multimorbidities of patients with obesity at various weight classes. Other research includes verification of sepsis diagnoses codes in clinical records and the future HIIM workforce needs.

Nancy Lindberg

Nancy Lindberg serves as a Manager in Consulting Services at LexiCode. She is responsible for coordinating the entire audit process, serving as a liaison to clients conducting overview of results as well as creating and delivering focused coding education sessions based on audit findings. Nancy joined LexiCode in 2011, and has extensive experience in the HIM/Coding environment. She started out as an outpatient ambulatory surgery coder advancing to inpatient coding then transitioning into auditing services. Nancy graduated from Passiac County Community College's Health Information Management Associates Program. Nancy's credentials include RHIT and CCS. She is an active member of AHIMA and SCHIMA.
