ELVET STRIDERS

Elvet Striders is a running club based in the beautiful city of Durham. We are a friendly and sociable running club catering for adult runners of all abilities. Since its founding in 1985 it has grown from a small club to one with several hundred members. We have runners who are interested in everything from Track and Field to Ultra marathons. Whatever your interests, there's bound to be someone in the club who shares that interest... Our club meets for training on Monday and Wednesday evenings throughout the year. We are based at Durham University's sports centre at Maiden Castle, but also hold sessions at the track in Chester-le-Street, and at other venues in and around the city.
