ERGON MARINE & INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY

Ergon Marine & Industrial Supply, Inc., was founded in 1969 as the Ergon General Store, providing support in the form of groceries and other supplies for Magnolia Marine Transport Company (MMT). In 1974, the Ergon General Store became incorporated and began the process of expanding its services to other marine transport companies. In 1975, EMIS moved its headquarters from Houma, LA, joining MMT in Vicksburg, MS. A second facility opened in Memphis, TN, in 1982. Ergon General Store officially became known as Ergon Marine & Industrial Supply in 2001, and in light of the company's continuous expansion, EMIS purchased equipment from Patton Tully and added fleeting to its list of services.
