Clive Hood

Clive specialises in both Automation and Performance Testing to the highest technical levels. With an IT career spanning over 20 years, he utilises his strong analytical, testing and development skills to solve complex automation, performance and data migration problems, including building bespoke utilities. Clive is Security Cleared (SC) and Non Police Personnel Vetted (NPPV), meaning he is trusted by security conscious organisations to work with highly sensitive data. Within the testing world Clive is known for his superb technical skills and coming up with creative solutions to make the impossible possible.

Jo Fernandes

Job Titles:

Jo is the Head of Human Resources at Fimatix. She utilises her 10 years of recruitment and sales experience to help secure the operation and continuity of Testing Performance. She maintains a wide-reaching network of testing professionals allowing the company to scale up on demand. Jo is known for listening to what clients need, not just for technical requirements but for holistic solutions. She is able to troubleshoot problems before they arise, keeping accounts trouble free, with continuity of service and resources. Within the testing world Jo is known for her clear, no nonsense communication and her ability to translate technical jargon into everyday language.

Neil Herbert

Neil is a highly experienced financial services Business Analyst with a proven track record working within large multi-year business transformation, migration, rand integration programmes. He has a demonstrated ability to drive process and system changes and execute projects efficiently.

Paul James - Founder

Paul is the Co-Founder of Fimatix. He has worked in technology strategy and COO positions at BNP, Merrill Lynch, Instinet, HSBC and Matrix. He co-founded Calastone - a start-up which has fully automated order management process for Wealth Managers and Fund Managers. More recently, he advised on the set-up of challenger bank Starling, and Time Machine Capital, which specialises in advising and raising funds for Artificial Intelligence and Fintech.

Simon Nadin

Simon is the Head of Operations who joined Fimatix in March 2022. He is an experienced operations specialist who's expertise and delivery style were established during a lengthy military career. Simon has held key roles in the planning and delivery of large scale complex projects, often in austere and demanding environments and more recently contracted solutions to NATO and EU programmes. Complimenting his Ops delivery expertise Simon has been the Executive Officer in key business areas where he has been responsible for the planning and delivery of transition programmes, high level HR delivery and business platform migration. Comfortable operating at board level and briefing the C-suite, Simon is most at home translating strategy into pragmatic and agile solutions.

Stephen O'Sullivan - CFO, Founder

Stephen is the Co-Founder of Fimatix. He worked at Accenture for 17 years, where he drove the set-up of IT outsourcing in Capital Markets, led the acquisition of new FS clients and ran the UK Risk Management business. He then joined Capco to lead the transformation of the business into a Financial Infrastructure player. At Capco, he drove the value-creation strategy, including new high-growth offerings in ChangeSourcing; brought on new clients in Banking, Insurance and Wealth Management and drove the acquisition of Platform Securities, a Wealth Management outsourcing business.

Tim Howarth - CEO

  • Consultant and Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Tim is an experienced consultant and regulatory compliance specialist and CEO of Fimatix, which he joined in February 2020. In 15 years at KPMG he led the Financial Services Consulting business as well as leading key banking clients. He advised clients on hugely challenging issues around governance, products, distribution channels, risk oversight and compliance. Comfortable operating in the Boardroom driving governance effectiveness, or at the distribution points for regulated products. He has established large remediation teams and led data insight innovation of tools for evidencing compliance. He was appointed as a Skilled Person by the UK Financial regulators to investigate material failings in firms and provide assurance on issues like the implementation of Open Banking. Tim spent eight years at the Financial Services Authority after serving in the Royal Navy. In his spare time he enjoys sailing, restoring historic scooters and spending time with his family in Brighton.
