Charlie Holt-Staplehurst

Charlie joined the Galejay team in September 2021, to build the Business Change and Transformation desk. Having enjoyed nearly 15 years in the recruitment industry, Charlie dedicated the last 6 years of her career building a successful and strong network within business change for the Lloyd's insurance market, for a competitor recruitment consultancy. Prior to joining the Lloyd's business change world, Charlie recruited both within consultancy and in-house roles across multi-industries and disciplines. This includes IT, e-commerce, finance, and facilities management, seeing consistent and uncompromised success. Charlie is passionate about equality and works with a number of her clients on diversity and inclusion strategies, training, and regularly attends market seminars via Inclusion@Lloyd's. She also holds a number of volunteer positions, and is currently the Diversity and Community Relations Magistrate for Kent Judiciary. Charlie knows first-hand the day-to-day struggles hiring managers and candidate's face, and is perfectly placed to consult on your team requirements and recruitment strategy, or guide you to the next chapter of your career.

Chloe Taylor

Chloe joined Galejay in November 2021 after graduating from the University of Lincoln with a first-class Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Marketing. After studying modules such as Strategic Marketing Planning and Marketing Communications, Chloe has been using her skills and knowledge to work alongside Gary to develop marketing content that is designed to reach and engage candidates and clients. Chloe's role includes social media management, website maintenance, and marketing content creation.

Gary Forster - Managing Director

Gary has over 30 years' experience working within the Lloyd's of London insurance market. During this time, Gary has worked for several of the top 10 Lloyd's Managing Agencies in both permanent and contracting positions. Gary has operated in a range of finance positions having started his career at a Members Agency as an assistant accountant and being successfully promoted over the years to hold senior syndicate financial controller and financial reporting manager positions. For this reason, Gary has a thorough understanding of what is involved in all roles within a syndicate finance team from the most junior to the most senior, and has an excellent understanding of team dynamics and the importance of recruiting the correct person into the correct position. Gary also has experience himself of successfully building and restructuring finance teams to achieve optimum performance. During this time Gary has experienced the frustrations that the recruitment process can cause and with this understanding Gary feels he can add significant value to this process for both employer and employee and has set up Galejay Recruitment in 2018 to achieve this with its initial focus being on Financial Recruitment.
