Dr Aoife McCarthy

Aoife is the Project Manager at GlasPort Bio and brings with her 15 years' experience working in R&D, Regulatory Affairs and project management roles in both industrial and academic settings. She brings to GlasPort Bio a strong background of advancing research to the next stage of product development and commercialisation, from her experience working as Project Manager with a Venture Capital firm. Exploring funding opportunities and advancing the research possibilities for GlasPort Bio are Aoife's main roles in the company. Dr Camilla Thorn

Camilla is the Scientific Lead for GlasPort Bio having led the technical development of the GlasPort Bio slurry additive and ruminant feed additive programmes to date. Camilla has a wealth of technical expertise in the microbial ecology space. Camilla received her honours BSc (Microbiology) from the University of Glasgow, MSc from Bangor University and PhD in Microbial Ecology from the University of Galway.

Dr Dermot Hughes

Dermot is the Engineering Lead for GlasPort Bio, and through his 10 years' experience in academic and industrial research, he brings a proven track record in the scale-up and commercialisation of environmental technologies. Dermot's most recent previous role was as Technical Manager with NVP Energy, a low-temperature anaerobic digestion technology provider. He brings this experience to GlasPort Bio where he will be responsible for the scaled-up design and application of GlasPort Bio's technology. Dermot received a 1st class honours degree in Environmental Science, and PhD from the University of Galway.

Dr Ruairi Friel - CEO, Founder

Dr Stephen Nolan

Stephen is the Field Trials Lead at GlasPort Bio overseeing the large-scale field studies for both our slurry additive and ruminant feed additive programmes. Stephen brings a strong background to this role with particular strengths in manure management and anaerobic digestion. Prior to joining GlasPort Bio, Stephen worked as a plant manager for an Irish anaerobic digestion facility and an agricultural advisor for Teagasc. Stephen received a BSc (Agricultural and Environmental Science) from University College Dublin, an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems from Dundalk Institute of Technology and a PhD from University of Galway in Environmental Microbiology

Mr Killian O'Briain - Founder
