HALIFAX SKATING CLUB

The Halifax Skating Club is the oldest skating club in Canada. It was founded in 1862 with children learning to skate on a pond in the Public Gardens in downtown Halifax. Today the club has well over 200 members. They skate at Centennial Arena on Vimy Avenue in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Halifax Skating Club offers a variety of programs for both children and adults at all levels of skating - from beginners to elite competitive skaters... The Halifax Skating Club is a volunteer, non-profit organization and an associate member of Skate Canada. The Club is administered entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers.
