The rustic log home now named "Hemlock Ridge" was the dream home of a local Blairsville resident who passed away in 2011. It was lovingly constructed over a four year period by her family, friends and local craftsmen. The exterior is of chink logs common to the area; however, it is when you enter the home and view the mortise and tenon construction that the real beauty and craftsmanship are revealed. The interior walls are constructed with reclaimed wood from slave cabins from a South Carolina plantation lovingly removed and brought to Blairsville.
