I have been studying and working in the Karlsruhe area for more than 15 years. I have a diploma degree as well as a masters degree in Sensor System Technology from the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe and did my masters thesis in elctrochemistry at the company Bürkert Fluid Control (France). After that, I worked one year for a start-up company Sensolute GmbH as a develpoment engineer for micro technology and sensors before I switched to academia. First, I started as an engineer and Scientific Assistant in the field of metrology and automation technology at Karsruhe Institute of Technology before doing my PhD at the Institute for Photon Science and Synchrotron Radiation working interdisciplinary in the field of applied physics, X-ray imaging, mechatronics, and materials science.
