HIDEAWAY HILLS

At Hideaway Hills assisted living home, we literally have private homes as our "facilities". We currently have 2 private homes that are run by myself, my husband, and a licensed LPN. We are looking for our 3rd and 4th homes right now, as we are growing by leaps and bounds. Apparently, a lot of people feel the way we do about "institutional" settings!... Hideaway Hills Senior & Veteran Home began in 2013 after having to face the daunting task of finding an assisted living home for Mom. We realized Mom could no longer live on her own. Of course, Mom did not see it the same way!! We started looking at facilities and found they all had the same "institutional" feel. We did not like the fact that the caregiver ratio was about 1 caregiver to 13-22 residents. Also, did not like the fact they seemed so impersonal. Mom could not snack in her room, and had to eat whatever was given to her, whether she liked it or not. Also, really hated the fact that Mom would be awakened when they wanted to..
