The Horatio Colony House Museum is located on land that was stolen from the Sokoki people of the Abenaki Tribe. We acknowledge their history and continued presence in the area... The house dates to an era when Keene had about 100 homes, a meetinghouse, a courthouse, a jail and a population of approximately 1600 people.
