Marty has been working and living in Hailey, Idaho for almost 20 years, both working both locally and on remote projects throughout the years. Marty recently made the decision to reduce his role and work exclusively in Sun Valley on passion projects.
Marty founded Marty A. Lyon, Landscape Architects in 1980, eventually becoming Lyon Landscape Architects in 2012. With 40 years of practice as a landscape architect in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountains, Marty's professional experience encompasses a broad range of projects, from master planning to site-specific landscape design for public, institutional and private clients. His extensive body of work includes projects throughout the United States and Asia. Marty's experience includes community and regional parks, recreation and athletic facilities, school and college campuses, single and multi-family residential, commercial, community master planning, and private and public gardens.
Marty's experience started in Pullman, earning a degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University. Marty is licensed in Washington and Idaho.
