Andrew Cutler joined Tindall Riley in 2006, having qualified as a barrister in 1990 and as a solicitor in 1994. He is Chief Executive Officer of Tindall Riley & Co Limited and Tindall Riley (Britannia) Limited. Andrew was appointed as the Chair of the International Group of P&I Clubs in November 2022 for a three-year tenure.

Caglar Coskunsu - CEO

Caglar Coskunsu served as second officer and chief officer on container vessels and bulk carriers of a major shipping company following his graduation with distinction from Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty. He was later promoted to onshore management as manager of claim and insurance department where he was involved in all type of claims. He later graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and then he studied maritime law at University of Southampton for a LLM degree in Maritime Law. He also has experience in the offices of international law firms, insurers, P&I Clubs, salvage brokers, adjusters and recovery agents in London, where he spent the summer of 2004, to gain experience in London insurance and shipping market practices. After admission to Istanbul Bar Association he founded Cavus & Coskunsu Law Firm where he provides legal assistance to Turkish and foreign clients in every aspect of maritime law and insurance law. Recently, he is sharing his knowledge and experience by attending seminars held in London and Istanbul where he is giving speeches on wet and dry shipping matters.

David Hammond

Executive Director of Human Rights at Sea International, David Hammond is a former UK military seafarer, veteran Royal Marines Officer and qualified English barrister with a criminal, Public International Law and human rights background. He is the Founder of Human Rights at Sea having established the innovative international policy and advocacy NGO in 2013. This included conceiving the Geneva Declaration on Human Rights at Sea in April 2019, achieving UN ECOSOC accreditation in December 2022, authoring in excess of 90 international publications and being involved in law and policy changes in over 50 states before stepping back as CEO in early 2024 to pursue front-end consultancy work. He has practical maritime and legal experience having operated in the North and South Atlantic Oceans, the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, Arabian Gulf and South China Seas. He has also worked in complex and conflict-affected environments advising on human rights, International Humanitarian Law and conducting research and investigations up-to-and-including state, EU and UN level"

Throughout her 20 years with Norwegian Hull Club, Hildegunn has worked in different positions across the organisation, including 7 years as a Loss Prevention & Emergency Response advisor, before she was appointed the responsible for building up The Club's corporate communication function in 2016.

Iain Henstridge

Iain joined the London marine insurance market in 1986, working in the Yacht team of the Prudential. A move to K.J.Coles syndicate (latterly part of Amlin) followed in 1987, where he served as Deputy Yacht Underwriter. Iain moved from Yachts to larger Hull business in 1992, when he joined the then quite new Catlin syndicate. Iain led the Hull team there that developed into one of the largest leading accounts in London. A move followed back to Amlin 2009, where Iain was brought in to head up an established leading Hull account. The opportunity to start a new Hull account at a well-regarded syndicate, tempted Iain away to join Apollo, an independent, privately owned syndicate. Starting in 2017, the account has grown to be a sizeable book of business, written partly as a Consortium, with our long-term partner, Munich Re Syndicate. The account has developed into a well balanced and to date at least, profitable book of business! Iain is a member of the LMA's Joint War Committee and is currently Co-Chair of the Joint Hull Committee.

IIias Tsakiris - CEO

Ilias Tsakiris

Ilias Tsakiris, since 2005, is Chief Executive Officer of Hellenic Hull Management Ltd, and since 2016, of the American Hellenic Hull Insurance Co. Ltd. He has almost 30 years of professional experience in the marine insurance sector. Mr Tsakiris was trained as a Master Mariner at the Hydra Merchant Marine Academy, Europe's oldest marine academy, and he holds a degree in Maritime Studies from Liverpool John Moores University. He started his career as an apprentice Deck Officer, where he moved up the ranks, then went ashore to work in London as an average adjuster. In 1995, he joined Hellenic Hull Management, the managers of the predecessor insurer Hellenic Hull Mutual Association Plc, currently the American Club Europe.

John Lusk - CEO

He has been with the company since 2018 and has held various leadership roles, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Spire Maritime. Prior to his role as COO, he led Spire's global data services group and oversaw the growth and innovation of Spire's maritime, aviation and weather data solutions. John has more than 25 years of experience driving go-to-market strategy and delivering unparalleled customer experiences in B2B and B2C industries ripe for disruption. Prior to Spire, John was Principal at The Lusk Group, LLC, a strategic consulting and advisory firm that he founded, and also served as the Entrepreneur-In-Residence at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a non-profit focused on entrepreneurship and education. Earlier in his career, John was Chief Revenue Officer at ChefSteps, a food and technology company acquired by Breville USA, Inc., and CEO and Founder of Rivet & Sway, an online retailer for women's eyewear. Jonathan Evans

Jonathan is a Partner in Kennedys' London office. He specialises in marine insurance and reinsurance, shipping disputes and marine casualties. He represents insurers and reinsurers in claims for hull and machinery (H&M), increased value, loss of hire, cargo, mortgagee's interest (MI), war, charterers' liability, ports and terminals, and general liability. Jonathan also acts for shipowners, charterers, and protection and indemnity (P&I) clubs in relation to collisions, salvage, and cargo claims. He has been instructed on a number of complex claims, often with an international element, from representing insurers and owners in Lloyd's Open Form salvage arbitration, collisions in the Far East, detention of a crew for smuggling arms and wreck removals, to advising MI insurers on vessel detainments in South America. Jonathan regularly lectures to clients based in the UK and overseas, and at various universities based in the UK. He is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL). He is an Adjunct External Fellow of the Centre for Maritime Law of the National University of Singapore. Matthew de Plater is a Claims Director and the Claims Data Director for NorthStandard, a leading P&I insurer. Matthew joined the Standard Club in 2013 and has worked with a wide range of the club's membership, having spent time in the club's offices in London, New York and Dublin. He currently deals with P&I and Defence claims for members in the UK and the Middle East. Matthew has a particular focus on claims data, providing analysis and support to the Claims, Underwriting and Management teams within the club.

Mikal is a senior maritime executive with three decades of experience from floor to board level in shipping, finance, and technology. As Founder and CEO of CORE POWER, Mikal today plays a key role in the development and deployment of a new generation of nuclear reactor technologies as the solution for ocean transportation to boost productivity and meet its emission reduction targets. Mikal currently serves as Chair of the ‘Maritime Applications and Nuclear Propulsion' Working Group of the World Nuclear Transport Institute, as a member of the Offshore Technical Committee at Lloyd's Register and the Maritime Nuclear Applications Group of the National Reactor Innovations Centre in the US, and serves as an Advisory Board Member of the UK Nuclear Industry Association.

Mr. George A. Tsavliris - Chairman

Mr. George A. Tsavliris was born in London. He graduated from Athens College in 1968 and having acquired professional qualifications in Shipping (F.I.C.S., ACI.Arb), he concluded his graduate and post graduate studies in Shipping Law at University College London in 1973, with an L.L.M. degree. In 2009 he was qualified as a Mediator at the ADR Group London and in 2014 was certified as a Mediator by the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. He familiarized himself with the shipping and salvage sectors from a very early age by being engaged in the family business. George is a Principal at "Tsavliris Salvage Group" and represents the business on both a commercial and environmental basis internationally. He holds the position of Past Chairman of INTERMEPA (International Marine Environment Protection Association), Chairman of CYMEPA (Cyprus Marine Environmental Protection Association), which received the "Cyprus Maritime Prize 2007", as well as member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Union of Shipowners, Board Member of ECSA (European Community Shipowners' Associations), Board Member of The Yacht Club of Greece, Board Member of Friends of Hellas Liberty Association and the Jubilee Sailing Trust in the UK and Honorary Chairman of the Tsavliris Cultural Foundation. Furthermore, Mr. George Tsavliris is Member of the Academic Board of Metropolitan College / Solent Southampton University. Mr George Tsavliris was awarded the 2016 Capital Link Greek Shipping Leadership Award, in recognition of his unique and extensive contribution to Shipping and Greece and for his overall outstanding service to the shipping industry made by him individually, as a family and by his company as a Group. In Jan 2019, Mr Tsavliris received the Cyprus Environmental Award on behalf of CYMEPA by the President of the Cypriot Republic Mr Nikos Anastasiades and on March 12th, 2019, Mr Tsavliris was recognized with the Safety4Sea Leadership Award 2019 for his work with CYMEPA and other national & international organizations, toward the protection of the marine environment. On July 1st, 2019, Mr Tsavliris was appointed Non- Executive Chairman of OneGlobal Broking, Greece & Cyprus. In Dec. 2019, Mr Tsavliris published the book, which he co-wrote with Alba University Professor, Paul Emmanuelides, Winning Shipping Strategies: Theory and Evidence from Leading Shipowners. The book was translated into the Greek language and published in March 2021. George is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist at numerous maritime related conferences. He is an avid supporter of various charities, an art and music enthusiast and has completed ten London marathons. He is a father of six children.

Nick Shaw - CEO

Nick was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Group of P&I Clubs in July 2019. Nick is responsible for co-ordination of the collective activities of the International Group member Clubs including the internal organisation of the Group activities, co-ordinating the formulation and development of Group policies, the operation of the Group large claims pooling and reinsurance arrangements and the representation of the Group at inter-industry, government and intergovernmental levels. Nick has practised in Shipping and Marine Insurance law since 1990, and has extensive knowledge and experience of the Shipping Industry and the P&I world coupled with considerable high level management experience gained as the Shipping Group Practice leader at the former Richards Butler from 2003-2007, and, following its merger with US based international law firm Reed Smith as Global Shipping Industry Group Leader from 2007-2019. He has extensive experience of the Asian market having lived and worked in Hong Kong for two years and managed teams there and in Singapore

Thomas works within Aon's Global Broking Centre. In this role he is responsible for a broad range of logistics clients in an advisory capacity around freight services liability and any providers of outsourced logistics services. Prior to joining Aon in 2020, Thomas worked at Kuehne + Nagel and prior to that, in the global risk management team of an international broker. This background has given Thomas an excellent understanding of logistics business and risk management from both an external and internal perspective. Thomas is responsible for the design, structure and placement of an array of policies and packages within the logistics, ports & terminals and marine liabilities sector.
