Saskia joined MERLN in October 2021 as a research technician. She is part of the Instructive Biomaterial Engineering (IBE) department and embedded in the Materials-Driven Regeneration (MDR) center. Under the supervision of Niloofar Tahmasebi Birgani and Pamela Habibovic, she will focus on setting up advanced human stem cell culture models (e.g., mesenchymal and/or induced pluripotent stem cells) and biological assays to study the cell-biomaterial interactions in regenerative medicine applications.
