MORGAH

Himalayas basin at the North Western elevation has vast plain lands called the Potohar Plateau. Nature has bestowed upon this Plateau four seasons. And a focal point in this plateau of Pohohar is a scenic village, half surrounded by a River known as Soan. The western side is mountainous and there are beautiful fresh water springs and reserve of trees. This village has the unique distinction, contrasts such as a river, mountains and springs and clear crystal water streams. At an altitude of 1700 above sea level this village is called Morgah... The word "Morgah" in the local lingua franca means an area or land of peacocks. The legend has it that a couple of centuries ago, among other variety of wild life, this area was habited by throngs of peacocks. Visitors to this Village would be overwhelmed by its beauty and scenic location, and many would prefer to set up a home in the warmth of its lap as the people of the Village were hospitable, kind and peace loving.
