Meg Costello

Meg Costello has been the Research Manager for Falmouth Museums on the Green since November 2012. Prior to that, she volunteered for two years with Mary Sicchio, the previous archivist and worked as an editor at the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Meg edits the Museums' monthly blog "Untold Tales of Falmouth" and writes many of its entries. She is available to help researchers on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 and 2, and is usually in the office on Mondays and Fridays as well, cataloging the collection and assisting with museum programs. Meg attended Falmouth High School and then went on to get a bachelor's from Wellesley College where she majored in English and history.

Melissa Gray

Melissa Gray serves as our Communications and Membership Manager. She has an extensive background in graphic design, social media, events management, store management and office administration. She is a native of North Falmouth and operated her own boutique in downtown Falmouth, Mommy & Me Natural Parenting Boutique, from 2013 to 2018. She is a graduate of Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont with a bachelor's degree in business.

Rachel Lovett

Rachel Lovett is the Executive Director of the Falmouth Museums on the Green. She is a skilled museum professional with over a decade of relevant experience serving in curatorial and management roles. She came on board in the summer of 2022 has taken steps to revitalize the museum's programming, with a particular focus on local, Falmouth-specific history and community engagement and partnerships. These efforts have reenergized the organization and broadened the Society's reach within the community. Prior to coming to the Falmouth Museums on the Green, she was the Curator and Assistant Director at the Hammond-Harwood House Museum c. 1774, an early American art museum, in Annapolis, Maryland, from 2014 to 2022. During her time in Maryland, she created over 150 public programs. She was selected as the Maryland Heritage Professional of the year in 2019. Prior to her position in Maryland, she was the Executive Director at the Hanover, Massachusetts Historical Society from 2012 to 2014. She has published widely and lectured at Johns Hopkins, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Decorative Arts Trust among others. One of her most recent publications is on Charles Willson Peale (1741-1827), known as the portrait painter of the American Revolution. Her specialty is early American portraiture and furniture from 1780 to 1840. Lovett holds a master's degree from the Harvard Museum Studies Program and bachelor's from Endicott College. She attended the The Attingham Summer School, an in depth residential program on the Great British Country House.
