NAIROBI CHESS CLUB

Welcome to Nairobi Chess Club, the oldest and finest chess club in Kenya. We were registered on 26th February 1958 and are now celebrating our 60th anniversary. In that long history we have organized numerous tournaments, such as the Nairobi Chess Club Championship (our flagship event) and other tournaments like the Capablanca Cup and Peter Le Pelley Cup. This has helped us to become one of the most respected clubs in the country... Since 2009 the club found its home at Goan Gymkhana Club and has organized memorable events like an Internet match against Wageningen Chess Club of The Netherlands and "The Battle of Migingo" against a team of Ugandan top players. In the last years we have began to organize regular chess lessons and one-day tournaments. Feel free to come and join us in our upcoming events.
