Robert R. Albrecht

Robert R. Albrecht, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist treating patients in the Northwest suburbs for over 27 years. He was recently named "Most Approachable Surgeon" by his peers and staff at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's Surgery Department. Dr. Albrecht received his Fellowship in Anterior Segment Cataract Surgery at the Sheets Eye Clinic. His Ophthalmology residency was at Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Albrecht's medical school and undergraduate studies were at Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association. He was a past Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Good Shepherd Hospital, has served on numerous hospital committees throughout his tenure, and is currently on staff at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL, and St. Alexius Medical Center Hoffman Estates. Dr. Albrecht is passionate about taking care of his patients' complex eye problems and treating them as a whole person. He is thrilled that many of his younger patients have grown up to become physicians. Dr. Albrecht has been married to his wife Kimberly for nearly 30 years and has three adult children. His hobbies include golfing, water sports, and boating.
