Brittany Benoit graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of 2014. She has been working at Osgood & Associates for over a year.
Brittany graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2014 and has been with Osgood & Associates since then. She is the "go-to person" of the firm as she helps Mike and the other associates with preparing returns, and handling client paperwork. Some of her other duties include handling client accounts, managing social media, marketing, and assisting with administrative tasks. She enjoys building client relationships while assisting clients with various questions.
In her personal time, Brittany enjoys crafting and restoring furniture. She and her husband welcomed a baby girl into their family in March of 2020.

Laura Burks is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with over 30 years experience in tax planning and strategy. Prior to joining Osgood & Associates P.C., Ms. Burks was a Tax Manager with the Personal Financial Services group of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and a Senior Tax Manager at KPMG LLP, where she specialized in working with high net worth individuals and institutions on their income tax, estate, and gift planning needs. Laura is adept at working through intricate business and personal tax situations and is an invaluable asset to the team and our clients.
In addition to her role in managing our other tax specialists, Laura focuses on income, gift, and estate tax and planning issues. Ms. Burks takes joy in knowing she is able to save clients money and create more confidence in them by demystifying intimidating tax subjects. She is a member of the Texas State Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
When not in the office, Laura loves to spend time with her husband and four children. Some of her favorite pastimes include taking summer vacations at the beach with her family, going shopping, and reading best selling novels.
Lisa Carter has 16 years experience in private and public accounting. She took some time off to start a family and is now working part-time. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two boys.

For 30 years, Mike Osgood has been working with clients to create financial security through investment guidance, tax planning and risk management strategies. He deeply understands that each client is unique and his ability to learn about their family dynamics, financial concerns, and goals invigorate him and allow him to provide a truly customized approach to financial management.
Being approachable and creating a high level of comfort for his clients is the cornerstone of Mike's practice. He knows that clients need to feel they can share the good and the bad with their financial advisor. Things like divorce, job loss, litigation, retirement, and budgeting all affect our financial security. He has seen and handled the most difficult financial scenarios and is adept at providing the guidance needed to set you on the right track.
Mike grew up in a family of shipbuilders and fishermen where he learned the value of hard work and community. He lives near the community in which he grew up with his wife and two sons who attend Texas A&M. He and his sons continue the shipbuilding and fishing tradition and he is blessed to be married to his high school sweetheart for 28 years.
