Dr. Aref Rifai comes from a Medical family, multi-generational Ophthalmologists. He follows the footsteps of his great grandfather and his uncle. He shares with his uncle the privilege of being graduates of George Washington University in Washington DC. Dr. Rifai is a compassionate physician and a dedicated practitioner. Diligent hours are spent in caring for his patients as well as overtime to treat the under-served local population. In addition, Dr. Rifai is committed to providing Retinal care for the low birth weight premature babies in our community as well as volunteering for overseas missions performing retinal surgery. Dr. Rifai considers his medical profession as a calling. It is an honor to direct the care and treatment of his patients' eye conditions. He strives to restore sight to his patients, preserve and maintain their vision and ultimately enhance the quality of life. Dr. Rifai takes pride in providing the highest quality of care available, backed with evidence based medicine. He also provides his patients with explanation of their eye condition and plans for their treatment. Dr. Rifai supports our local Medical Institutions in the Panhandle as: A clinical Assistant Professor at FSU School of Medicine , Department of Surgery A Clinical Assistant Professor at University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile Al, Department of Pediatrics. Member of the President's Club at FSU Foundation Dr. Rifai is the principal and founder of the Retina Center of Pensacola PA. He has been married to Rasha Rifai for the last 23 years. He has two sons in college, and a son and daughter who live at home.
