Margaret Romani Mayer

Margaret, better known as Peg, specializes in generational wealth transfer taxation strategies with a special emphasis on estate, trust and gift tax planning. Peg has over 40 years of experience in public accounting in all forms of income tax preparation and planning. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Born and raised in the town of Avon, Peg received her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting from Bentley College in 1975, and joined the Firm and later became a Partner in 1993. Over the years, Peg has played an active role in the community and other outreach programs. She is an active member of the Avon Chamber of Commerce, having served as a member of the Board of Directors, and was awarded the Loren Bristol Spirit Award in 2015 for her continued involvement in the community and helping those in need. Peg maintains a position on the Board of Trustees of Simsbury United Methodist Church, has been involved in numerous disaster relief projects with the Volunteer in Missions division of the Church, and participates on the administrative committee of the Avon Dollars for Scholars. In her free time, Peg is an active member of the Connecticut Valley Porsche Club and is considered a Porsche enthusiast who loves visiting the track to race cars, teaching high speed driving on the race track, motorcycle touring, and spending quality time with her husband and family.

Rick specializes in small business and individual income tax preparation and planning, as well as financial statement preparation for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Born in West Hartford, Connecticut, Rick graduated from Central Connecticut State University and obtained his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Hartford in 1981. Rick has over 40 years of public accounting experience. He joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner in 2000. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Avon United Way, presently serves as the Treasurer of St. Ann's Cares in Avon, Connecticut, and is a continuing member of the Farmington Valley chapter of BNI International. Richard loves reading, and enjoys listening to blues music and watching sports.

Steve graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1983. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He was awarded the PFS (personal financial specialist) designation in 2005. Steve serves both commercial and individual clients across CT in a wide variety of matters including tax planning and compliance, business consulting, and financial planning. Steve has significant experience in industries including wholesale distributors, retail stores, franchises, contractors, medical and dental practices, service businesses and hotels/leisure properties. He has served as an expert witness in various situations including marriage dissolution, partnership disputes, estate and gift planning, mergers, and sales of businesses.  He also serves as a trustee for many trusts. Additionally, Steve is a Registered Investment Advisor and manages investment portfolios for individuals, retirement plans, trusts on a fee only basis. These services are performed, and fees are charged through his separate firm, KOV Financial Advisors, LLC.

Bill provides tax and accounting services for many closely held and family owned businesses in construction, real estate, small manufacturing and various other professionals. In addition to servicing businesses, he provides individual tax planning and preparation. Bill is a former treasurer for the Wolcott Youth Athletic Association. He currently resides in Wolcott with his family.
