PROJECT BOAT
Updated 442 days ago
Welcome to Mariners Mecca and Projectboat.net. I thought I would introduce myself and provide a little insight to the purpose of these sites. My name is Steve. I am a Network Security Engineer and I enjoy problem solving. I have two sailboats. Alula (When flying at slow speeds or landing, the bird moves its alula slightly upwards and forward, which creates a small slot on the wing's leading edge. This functions in the same way as the slats on the wing of an aircraft, allowing the wing to achieve a higher than normal angle of attack - and thus lift - without resulting in a stall) which is a Macgregor 26s and it is in pretty good shape and Rubato (from the Italian phrase tempo rubato , literally: stolen time, from rubare to rob) which is a "Homemade" boat I acquired as a project boat, it is NOT in good shape. I found myself spending a lot of time thinking of improvements for Alula but I've always had a problem "fixing" things that weren't broke. Rubato provides a great opportunity to fix..
