Welcome to a badge making workshop at the Settlement Exhibition Aðalstræti in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Women's Day Off Friday, 24 October at 12:00-13:30. Free admission and everyone is welcome! There is currently an exhibition about the Women's Day Off on 24 October 1975 at the Reykjavík Museum of Photography, another location of the Reykjavík City Museum. On that day, women stopped both paid and unpaid work, effectively halting society. Since then, the protest has been repeated six times to highlight various forms of discrimination against women in the labor market and to draw attention to women's contributions to society.
