Job Titles:
  • Professor
Professor Rodrigo Resende started training Judo when he was five years old with his father, Geraldo Resende. As soon as he developed an interest in competition, his father took him to train under Master Takeshi Miura, 9th degree red belt in Judo. At 13 years of age he started taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes to help improve his Judo groundwork (ne-waza). Since then, Jiu Jitsu has been a permanent part of his martial arts training regimen and way of life. Rodrigo later moved from Brasília to Salvador for a year with his father where he had the opportunity to train jiu jitsu under Masters Ricardo and Edson Carvalho. After that, he moved to São Paulo and Belo Horizonte for a couple of years in order to get in a training center for Judo athletes. He represented his State, University and also his Country both before and after returning to his home. Under Master Max Trombini, one of Cia Paulista founders and a 6th degree black belt, Professor Rodrigo is a 5th degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, and under Master Takeshi Miura, one of the worlds most ranked Judo masters, Sensei Resende holds the 5th degree Judo black belt. Professor Rodrigo Resende and his awesome team of instructors teach all classes. The school's emphasis is on self-improvement, and not just self-defense. The development of self-confidence, self-discipline, and respect through martial arts training here enables students to resolve conflicts peacefully and avoid confrontation.
