Ron Jones was born and raised in Dagenham and moved to Gloucestershire back in 1963 with wife Margaret. It was here the father of five sons established his Plastering firm RFG Jones Plasterer. But it was his purchase of a cottage on the Tewkesbury Road the proved his road to Damascus moment. During its renovation, he realised people were calling out for materials suitable for listed buildings... In 1983 he bought Norton Farm just north of Gloucester and opened Ronsons Reclaimation specialising in architectural salvage, supplying everything from one-off items, architectural artefacts, fixtures and fittings. It amassed not just an extensive stock of reclaimed building materials for customers looking to rebuild, restore and enhance their period and historic properties, but experience and expertise which includes its own stone masons, ironwork and armour making trades.
