Alan Gray

Alan has been with John W. Rooker and Associates since 1984. During this time at Rooker, he has managed projects totaling over 12 million sf of new construction encompassing distribution, retail, office, & manufacturing. Mr. Gray's responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand their operational needs for their new facility; and then coordinating the engineering/construction team to produce the desired result. He is a LEEDâ„¢ Legacy Accredited Professional and a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia. His LEED Certification has been beneficial to help provide sustainable ideas for clients during the value engineering process for LEED certified facilities, as well as non-certified buildings. Alan coordinates owner/contractor relations as well as project management and estimating functions for the company. He values both customer relationships those with with team members in the construction industry. These values have helped the team achieve the desired results for the client, and help produce opportunities for Rooker to build multiple facilities for clients over the years. One such company, Georgia Crown, resulted in three new distribution facilities in the southeast, along with expansions and renovations to other existing facilities. Brian Cardoza

Brian Cardoza joined Rooker in 2014 as Vice President and he is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the company's real estate portfolio. Before joining Rooker, he spent over 7 years with Prologis, a Fortune 1000 company that owns, manages and develops industrial facilities. During his time at Prologis, Brian was responsible for marketing and leasing 9 million square feet and he was involved in over 400 deals that generated $140 million in revenue. In addition to Brian's real estate experience, he brings extensive knowledge in economic development. He has recruited business and industry to the state of Georgia as well as to Fayette County, where he served as President/CEO of the Fayette County Development Authority. Brian graduated from Georgia Tech in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and later earned his MBA from Georgia State in 2000. Cason Bufe

Cason Bufe joined ROOKER in 2017 as a Vice President focused on expanding ROOKER's real estate portfolio in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. Before joining ROOKER, Cason was the CEO of Orchard Street Capital, a private equity real estate firm. Prior to founding Orchard Street Capital, he served in various capital deployment and business development roles during a 9-year tenure at IDI, one of the country's largest owners and developers of Class-A industrial real estate. Over his commercial real estate career, Cason has participated in transactions valued at $650 million, including building and land acquisitions, dispositions, leases and development projects. Cason graduated with honors in 2003 from Northwestern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, and earned his MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School in 2010. Cheryl Davis

Cheryl joined the Rooker team in 2018. In her current role, Cheryl will be responsible for the day-to-day management of government occupied properties with a focus on customer service, process management and quality controls. Cheryl's attention to detail and desire to exceed customer expectations are her driving force. In addition to her strong skills in customer service, she has experience in property accounting including budgeting, contract management, financial reporting, and vendor/tenant account processing; lease administration; insurance review and claims processing, tax review and appeals, and property due diligence for sales and refinancing; construction management including bid preparation and supervision of make-ready, tenant improvements and capital projects. Her projects have included building systems repair/replacement of roofs, HVAC, EODs, dock levelers and dock doors, storefront systems, ESFR pump systems, fire control panels and asphalt mill/replace/reclamation and concrete stabilization projects; building repairs and maintenance services including annual inspection and oversight of maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler, roofs, dock equipment, BFP, janitorial and general building assessments; landscape planning/renovations. Cheryl started her career with MD Hodges in Atlanta and possesses 16 years of property management. She has managed commercial real estate portfolios in multiple markets in including Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia working on the Owner as well as Third Party management platforms. Cheryl holds a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Studies from Kennesaw State University. She lives in Atlanta and has two sons, ages 28 and 26.

John Rooker began his career with ROOKER at an early age working in the field throughout high school and college. This valuable experience led to his position as assistant project manager in 2002; the same year he also graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in General Business. While functioning as a project manager, John developed management skills and practices that carried into a sales and leasing position in 2004. In this role, he was responsible for the liquidation of approximately 9 million square feet of space with an average sales price per square foot of $45.00. After 3 years of strengthened experience in this position, John was named Vice President. John's leadership role instilled strong work ethic and teamwork in each project, ultimately resulting in being named Chief Executive Officer in 2011. As CEO, John is responsible for overseeing development, construction management, leasing, and sales for the company. He works closely with ROOKER's CFO, assisting in decisions regarding deployment of capitol and financial resources. John is also responsible for generating new business leads for build-to-suit opportunities, while overseeing all marketing aspects of the company. Two recently led efforts include 500-acre Riverside West Business Park, and the redevelopment of Shannon Mall in Union City, GA. The Union City project resulted in a 1 million square foot building for DHL Logistics and 245,000 square feet of purpose-built sound stages, offices, and mill space for Atlanta Metro Studios where he is currently a managing partner. John serves on the Board of Directors for The Shepherd Center Foundation, on the University of Georgia Board of Visitors, and also previously served on the inaugural Emerging Leaders for Children's group for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. John is a member of NAIOP, SIOR, GEDA, Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, and Young Presidents Organization. He is married with three children. Over the years, Rooker and Associates has supplied facilities for a very impressive list of customers that include names such as Ford Motor Company, G.T.E., Siemens, Mead Corporation, Baxter Laboratory, Haverty's Furniture, J.C. Penny, Marriott, Home Depot, Circuit City, and Office Depot. Jack's family partnership now owns and manages over four million square feet of industrial facilities. In 1990, Jack received the SIOR Developer's Lifetime Achievement Award and in 1995 was named Industrial Developer of the Year by NAIOP. In 1992 he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Georgia. In 2013, Jack received the Alumni Merit Award for distinguished And loyal service to The University of Georgia. In the past Jack has served as chairman of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Directors for Omni Insurance Company and The Westminster Schools. Murray Reavis - CFO

Murray Reavis graduated from Auburn University in 1990 with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and started his career with Arthur Anderson. He joined Rooker in 2004 as the company's Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Murray oversees all aspects of the company's corporate finance, accounting, tax, risk management, and human resources. He also directs Rooker's management team on business activities for the company's real estate development and construction projects. One of Murray's primary goals is to ensure coordination between all the team members and provide quality control for all financial decisions regarding construction and development including efficient debt and risk management. He is a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years experience in public accounting.
