What began 170+ years ago as a one-room schoolhouse with one teacher has grown into a 30 room school with 380+ students. Salem Lutheran is the oldest continually operating parochial school in Texas, celebrating 170+ years of education. In 1851, before Tomball was an established community, Salem Lutheran Church was founded. The congregation opened a Christian Day School two years later, in 1853. We continue the legacy of raising up Christian leaders well prepared for life beyond school... Here at Salem we offer an Infant through PreK 4 program, as well as Kindergarten through 8th grade education.
