Alexis' career is extensive with expertise in property management, leasing and sales. She began her career in 1993 with Jamison Properties managing high rise office buildings and shopping centers. After ascending within the company, she transitioned to commercial, industrial, leasing and residential sales. Alexis is considered one of the most successful and recognized female commercial and residential salespersons in Korea-Town. Her territory spans from Orange County to San Bernardino/Riverside and Los Angeles.
Alexis has been recognized and applauded by many in the real estate field. She has appeared in several newspapers, real estate magazines and numerous other publications as an industry expert. She grew up in New Jersey and inherited the New York fast-paced work ethic. Alexis is bilingual in Korean and English. She works 7 days a week and always available by phone or e-mail ensuring accessibility to her clientele and brokers. She prides herself on hard work, attention to detail, and making her clients' sale or purchase as easy and trouble free as possible. No transaction is too big or small!
Alphonzo is a native of Los Angeles who holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine. He began his successful property management career in 2005 and has experience in single family homes, multi-unit complexes, office buildings and retail spaces. He has worked in all phases of property management and has a very hands on approach. Prior to property management, Alphonzo worked in his family's construction company gaining great insight into overseeing cost-effective unit rehabs and tenant improvements. As Director of Management, Mr. Hicks works directly with property owners and investors to develop and implement expected goals for their investments.
Dennis serves as Senior Vice President at Secured Properties. He has brokered nearly 150 transactions, totaling in excess of $1 Billion dollars. He started his real estate career in 2001 where he quickly earned his place among their list of young and most successful agents at one California's largest firm. Specializing in the sale and acquisition of apartment buildings (10-200 units), he also manages properties for select clients.
Dennis prides himself in the ability to guide and consult novice investors to make them savvy investors and property owners. He possesses a high regard for quality customer service and his knowledge, integrity and professionalism have made him a well-respected member of the financial teams of professional athletes and entertainers. To that end, he has broadened his scope of services to cater to his busy and elite clientele, which encompass the leasing, management and construction of real estate assets.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern California. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their two children. An avid sports fan and former athlete, when he is not brokering real estate deals, he fulfills his role as Chief Executive Officer of The Factory Training (www.thefactorytraining.com) and Founder of the Total Kid Project (www.totalkidproject.org).
James graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in Cinema Television. He started in real estate to help better manage his family's portfolio. He was admitted into Harvard Business School's online learning platform called HBX where he earned a CORe certificate after studying business analytics, economics, and financial accounting. He received an additional certificate after continuing his study in a finance course called "Leading with Finance". He currently specializes in multifamily income properties. James prides himself on analytically viewing deals from an investors perspective. His entertainment background gives him a unique insight into the financial needs of those in the industry. Outside of Secured Properties, James is working on his private pilot's license, plays the guitar and has a passion for cooking.
Jay Chu is one of the Founding Partners & President of Secured Properties. He is widely considered one of the leading investment real estate advisors in the Los Angeles area with a focus on the Mid-Wilshire/Koreatown sub markets. Jay has participated in sales and leasing transactions totaling more than $3 billion in value including over 5,000 Multi-family units sold under his belt.
With nearly 25 years of experience, Jay leads an experienced group of investment real estate professionals specializing in the acquisition and disposition of investment real estate on behalf of local and institutional clients. He has been instrumental in shaping the local real estate markets throughout the various market cycles.
Through his leadership, Secured Properties has gone on to become the leading full service Commercial Real Estate firm in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles. Jay's trusted expertise has led him to represent institutional investors such as Jamison Services, Cypress Equity Investments, Century West Partners, Arc Capital, Fairfield Residential, Bascom, and Equity Residential along with high net worth individuals such as the Sterling Family Trust.
He has cemented his place as the leading Commercial Real Estate advisor in the area and is often consulted and quoted by leading industry media sources such as the Los Angeles Business Journal and The Real Deal. Recently, he has been named as a nominee for Broker of the Year 2017 and 2018 by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Aside from his professional obligations, Jay resides in Palos Verdes, CA with his family and is also an avid triathlete having finished 6 Ironman events around the world.
Marina joined Secured Properties in August 2012 as a transaction coordinator primarily working with Alexis Kim. She started her career managing all aspects of a sale. From the agent's marketing, showings, and escrow coordination to closings, every document involved in the transaction process crosses Marina's desk. As an organized and task-oriented marketing expert for residential properties, she takes pride in ensuring all transactions are carried out smoothly and seamlessly. Marina strives to provide the highest level of customer service, individualized attention, and thorough knowledge of the Los Angeles real estate market. She diligently assists clients with the utmost levels of professionalism, expertise, confidentiality and respect. To further herself and expand her knowledge, she became licensed in 2014.
Marina was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and came to Los Angeles in 2008 and is bilingual in both Korean and English. Aside from real estate, she is a part-time student at the Los Angeles City College and enjoys reading, hiking, cooking and taking yoga classes.

Thomas Chung is one of the most senior local real estate professionals in the community. Born in South Korea, he has lived in Los Angeles since 1987 and a resident of Korea town. He started his real estate career in 2006 as a sales agent. He holds a GRI designation and recently got his broker license with a firm belief he can help his clients accumulate more wealth with knowledge.
He joined the company in 2017 with a desire to focus on commercial real estate. His variety of related work experiences includes entrepreneur, property flipping investor, mortgage broker, and a personal financial advisor for seven years at AXA Advisors. He's earned many top agent sales awards throughout his real estate career. Thomas is a cabinet member in KREBA (Korean Real Estate Brokers Association) for several years.
Thomas is a graduate of Cal State University Northridge Business School majoring in Finance. He is in bilingual both Korean and English. A happily married family man for 21 years, Thomas is a devoted Christian and diligently serves at his church in the new membership department.

Yansy Naranjo joined Secured Properties in June 2016 specializing in landlord and tenant representation and is a market area specialist from Koreatown to Downtown. Based in Koreatown, she has 17 years of experience in commercial real estate with an extensive background in marketing, management and business development. Her mix of unparalleled professionalism, highly successful marketing practices, strong organizational skills and graphics has led to excel in commercial real estate.
Outside of real estate, Yansy is the Vice President of the board of trustees for St. Anne's in Los Angeles, an organization that offers a safe refuge for unwed, pregnant young women and young mothers offering transitional housing and programs to empower and educate these women providing hope and the tools needed for a better future. Yansy is a native Angelino and enjoys everything this great city has to offer from museums, beaches, exploring new eateries, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
