White text punctuated by a blue background appeared on the screen. A slightly garbled, thin voice read aloud, "The first European to lay eyes on these islands was Jacob Roggeveen in 1722." "What are the Samoan Islands!" a girl exclaimed from in front of the television.

Daris Strickland

Job Titles:
  • Senior Developer
  • Developer, States
"Po boys. Now those will keep you sustained for days." Daris, Simplexity Developer, states emphatically. Beautiful sandwiches that they are, they don't put money in your wallet. So instead of eating po boys or chicken tikka masala every day, Daris followed his childhood penchant for programming and started working for Simplexity in April of 2013. In their employ, he has honed his CSS, HTML, and PHP skills, having an established aptitude for Python. "Python is my wheelhouse," Daris reveals. When not developing, he likes to take his bow and, not unlike Robin Hood (not the Kevin Costner version), have some target practice. Unlike Robin Hood, who preferred making pincushions of noblemen, Daris sticks to less fleshy recipients of his hurtling darts.

Kevin Bultemeier - VP

Job Titles:
  • Partner
  • Vice President
Kevin oversees our team that provides local business with a simple and affordable way to promote their services and generate new leads using internet marketing. When not striving to help small businesses market more efficiently and grow, Kevin will be outdoors somewhere. He may be that Nike Air Max bedecked blur passing you just off the Monon Trail perhaps pursued by a bird with unknowable intentions, or he may be "on the links" nudging a tiny white sphere around with a metal stick. Elsewise, Kevin skis, jogs, canoes, swims, bikes, does parkour and tai chi, street luges, plays frisbee and hackey sack, and hang glides, all while outdoors. When he's not out in the elements, he'll be watching his favorite movie, The Last Castle, but don't count on it because he'll probably be outdoors.

Melissa Faudree

Job Titles:
  • Social Media Manager
Fishers is better known for Connor Prairie, an interactive history museum. Fishers is a city (not a town, mind you) becoming more known for shopping and has been Melissa's place of residence since birth. Her one complaint, she wished the Indiana weather resembled something more tropical, like Florida. On a positive note pertaining to winter, Melissa loves proliferation of boots during the season. That may be enough to keep her in Fishers. So until she finds a new place to dwell, Fishers will remain home. Maybe the heat of the bright light city of Vegas is more to her liking, but she doesn't need to go there to taste a life glamour. Melissa crosses paths with the like of Dierks Bentley, Kenan Thompson, and Brian McComas on semi-regular basis. What gets Melissa shook up? She believes that behind any door, around any corner, over any horizon could lurk a blood-thirsty hound dog. She much prefers the company of her normal yet hyper dog, Lexie, with whom she loves taking walks with. Chicken-related foods make Melissa's life complete, specifically McAlister's Harvest Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Broad Ripple establishment Mama Carolla's Chicken Piccata. She loves them so much, she almost never wants to let them go. One for the money. Melissa has had an array of jobs including doing promotions for radio stations and coordinating events for a hotel. Her main focus at Simplexity is content.

Mike Fuller

Job Titles:
  • Senior Developer
Much like a Guy Fawkes mask might hide face, a programmer is hidden behind the code he or she writes. It is a he in this case, and he is Mike Fuller. Mike has mastered multiple programming languages. Seamlessly moving from PHP to SQL to Javas. Moreover, Java minions might manage to motivate a response from Mike regarding the aforementioned, despite the maddening environment Java can make. But Mike maintains his mild manner and motivation regardless of the mare's nest therein. Since 1993, Mike has made ends meet through programming, and in May 2014, teamed up with Simplexity for the second time, merging his monumental programming knowledge with theirs. Outside of the office, Mike occupies his time opportunistically. To paint a picture, Mike may pore over the pages of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, placidly partaking in its potent drama, only to progress to a piping hot portion of television programming, perhaps The Walking Dead or Whose Line is it Anyway? Mike can quickly cast off a state of quietude however and set sail for unique locales including Paris, Virgin Islands, and Anchorage. One last point to vanquish those vacant thoughts of a vanilla lifestyle. Not mere verisimilitude but vibrant fact it is that Mike vacillates not one whit on his very favorite film. He unequivocally venerates V for Vendetta.

Mike Westlake

Job Titles:
  • Developer
Mike has always had an affinity for technology. "We had a computer in my house for almost as long as I can remember," he recalls. It's no wonder that Mike landed a job working with computers. More familiar with the HRs than DBs, Mike got his first taste of programming at a small Indianapolis web development company as an intern. This lasted several months before he set out on his own. It wasn't long after that he heard about an opportunity to work for Simplexity. He was hired and that's where we are today. Mike has forayed into varied industries during his professional career including pool-building, tutoring, residential community maintenance, and gym supervision. You may find Mike at a local Yats eatery or struggling up and down the floor of a basketball court. If the ever-fluctuating Indiana weather is agreeable, Mike enjoys a spot of the gentlemen's game of golf or escaping Indiana weather all together and finding solace in warmer climates. Mike has the unfortunate debility of believing that things will fall from wobbly vertical structures onto his head. This leads him to duck under scaffolding, avoid catwalks, and generally act strangely around such constructions. "No man is poor who can do what he likes to do once in a while! And I like to dive around in my money like a porpoise! And burrow through it like a gopher! And toss it up and let it hit me on the head!"
