Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Paul Myer has been an Edwardsville resident since his senior year of high school. After graduating from EHS in 1979, he transitioned to college life in town, earning his bachelor's degree in biology from SIUE in 1983. He furthered his education and passion by obtaining his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois.
During his college years, Dr. Myer worked at Hawthorne until graduation. His job opportunities took him to Freeport, Ill. and Washington University before he returned to Hawthorne to help Edwardsville families ensure their pets receive the highest possible care.
Dr. Myer's special interests include orthopedic surgery and wildlife rehabilitation.
In his free time, Dr. Myer enjoys spending time with his wife Donna and their son Andrew. He also enjoys fishing, working on old cars, and pretending to be a farmer.
