Ellena Steiner

Founder of SLG Canada, Ellena Steiner maintains its corporate & commercial practice. In Canada and internationally, she has been involved in a variety of public M&A transactions, banking and finance, corporate organizations & restructuring projects. In addition, she continues advise private clients and corporations in international business, immigration, real estate, wills & estates, and commercial litigation matters. Outside of SLG, Ms. Steiner's 30-years of experience include nearly a decade at the then-Prominent Canadian Law Firm of Goodman & Carr, in-house counsel to an International Financing Company (MDMT Group), and having served as Associate Editor for the Banking and Finance Law Review. Ms. Steiner completed her LL.B. at Osgoode Hall Law School, in Toronto. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada; the Canadian Bar Association; the Ontario Bar Association; Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA, Toronto Chapter). She is also a former director of the JRCC, and member of Canada-Russia Economic Forum. A native English speaker, she speaks Russian fluently, and is comfortable conversing in Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Spanish.

Mark K. Lathem

Mark Lathem is a senior commercial real estate lawyer with almost 30 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, commercial law, wills, and estates law. Over the last decade, the majority of his practice has involved real estate based commercial lending as counsel on behalf of major banks and trust companies. In addition, he has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and registration of commercial real estate on behalf of clients. A significant amount of Mark's commercial real estate practice involved the acquisition, and financing of land development projects, including registration and sale of the subdivisions on behalf of builders. Mark joined the firm after a 20 year working relationship with SLG.

Maryana Lerner Klein

Maryana has over 18 years of experience handling civil litigation matters. She acts for individuals and corporations in residential real estate, mortgage and estate transactions. Maryana has a quick, streamlined and pain-free system of assisting clients with their personal and business estate planning needs. She assists clients with the administration of estates for estate trustees.

Tatiana Fedorova

Tatiana Fedorova is a certified immigration consultant in our office. She is responsible for the support of the immigration law practice. She has experience in all Canadian Immigration and Citizenship matters. These matters include the preparation and submission of applications for permanent residence, work and study permits, labour market opinions, temporary resident permits, sponsorships, and others. Leveraging her interpersonal and communication skills, Tatiana effectively connects with our clients to deliver personalized solutions that meet their needs. Prior to joining our firm, Mrs. Fedorova earned her degree in Foreign languages (German, English) in Russia. After that, she continued her study and received her law degree from the Economics Academy in Russia. Upon her immigration to Canada in 2014, Mrs. Fedorova graduated with Honours from Academy of Learning College, having completed an Immigration consultant program in 2016. Since joining SLG, Tatiana has successfully processed files for clients from Eastern Europe, South America and Eurasia.

Vera Koroleva

Vera Koroleva manages our Toronto office. She is responsible for the PC Law bookkeeping and administrative office support at our firm. Her experience includes providing clients with qualified guidelines, accompanying, and following-up on the wide variety of clients' issues related to the communication with the governmental Canadian authorities, private organizations and companies.

Vitaly Timokhov

Vitaly Timokhov is a Canadian lawyer practicing taxation in Toronto, Canada. Vitaly is admitted to practice law in Ontario, Alberta, and New York State. A recipient of Newton Rowell Scholarship awarded by the Lieutenant-General of Ontario, Vitaly studied law at Queen's University Faculty of Law, from which he graduated in 1999 as a published tax author and a recipient of Canada's National Tax Award. After articling with a leading Canadian law firm in Toronto, Vitaly continued to study taxation as a Gerald Wallace Scholar at New York University School of Law's renowned LL.M. Program in Taxation. During that time, he was appointed to serve as an Editor of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
