The Socially Responsible Leadership Scale (SRLS) is an instrument based on the Social Change Model (SCM) of Leadership Development (HERI, 1998). The SRLS is used for research, assessment, and education to measure and identify student capacity for socially-reponsible leadership. SRLS is a simple web-based survey that takes only about 15 minutes to complete. Participants are instantly scored on the indvidual, group, and community values of the SCM. Research and assessment using the SRLS helps us all to improve our practice as we continue to learn which experiences have the most impact on the development of socially-responsible leadership in learners... The SRLS began with a dissertation by Dr. Tracy Tyree, who created a set of statistically reliable and valid scales that would measure the critical values identified in the Social Change Model (SCM) of Leadership Development.
