STANLEY RANGERS

It was a weekend of mixed results for our teams involved in cup matches. The newly formed Open Age Reserves lost to Newsome Panthers 20-30 in the Shield game with Jake Lord as Man of the Match. The Under 18s were beaten by Lock Lane in the Continuation Cup 18-38 and in a close-fought game the Under 16s just lost out to Hunslet 6-10. The Under 13s had a great win against top team Queensbury 16-12 in the Challenge Cup and will go through to the next round when they play against Shawcross Sharks Blacks at home on April 27th with a 11.30am kick off... On Sunday - 24th March - the Under 18s are at home against Lock Lane in a Cup game, 12 noon kick off; the Under 16s are also at home in a Cup game against Hunslet kicking off at 10am; the Under 9s have a bye; the Under 8s travel to Hunslet for a 12 noon kick off and finally our Under 7s are away at Birstall with a 9.30am kick off... For the first time in 8 years - since 14th May 2016 - Stanley Rangers will be fielding two Open Age teams..
