STARFISH SWIMMING CLUB

Starfish Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club and we aim to give children and adults with learning difficulties the opportunity to improve their swimming capability and to realise their full potential as a swimmer, whilst developing a strong sense of teamwork, self discipline, self-esteem and sportmanship in a safe and caring environment... Starfish Swimming Club was formed in 2002 for children and adults with learning difficulties. It is a registered charity and we are funded by a combination of member subscriptions, fund raising activities, the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and the local community. We are based at the Magnet Leisure Centre, Maidenhead and the club night is Saturday evenings @ 17:00 - 18:00. Starfish is affiliated to the ASA and the Special Olympics governing body.
