The Stawell Harness Racing Club was established in 1956 on its current site of Laidlaw Park. Stawell Harness Racing Club conduct 9 race meetings throughout the year. Each year the club holds the Maori Legend in honour of past local Champion Trotter Maori Idol. The Club also hold several feature races during the year honouring past contributors of our great Club. In December each year the Club holds it's Cup Race Meeting as part of the Country Cups Carnival. This season the Cup will be held in December 2023.
