I've been a computer programmer since the age of 14, but every once and a while I would sell an odds and end on Ebay. In 2015, though, things entered a new stage. My wife decided to start a daycare, and we decided to build a pirate ship play area for the kids. We were thinking about what to do for windows in the pirate ship, and my wife found these neat acrylic domes that would make a great porthole window. They seemed overpriced, though, and I thought it would be nice to have ones that were a bit bigger than what she had found. I eventually found larger ones on Ebay, but they were even more overpriced. It was at that point, I decided to see if I could reach out directly to a manufacturer to get a better rate. I ended up finding a manufacturer that could produce the item for quite a bit less. To make it economical and worth the manufacturer's time, though, I had to buy a whole batch of acrylic domes. I decided that I would do that, keep 3 for myself, and sell the rest... The acrylic..
