As President of Strategic Wealth Management Group, Garren J. Sepede, an LPL Registered Principal, leads a talented team of professionals. While operating and offering financial advice under LPL Financial as an independent financial services professional, Garren has the freedom to choose strategies, services and products that work best for each client. A well-known financial advisor in the Las Vegas area, Garren continues to use his knowledge and experience in the financial services industry in developing rewarding relationships with his clientele and assisting them in pursuing their specific financial goals. Bringing a wealth of financial knowledge and community involvement with him, Sepede was the 2009 UNLV Lee Business School Alumni of the Year and is currently serving as Vice President for the Lee Business School Alumni Advisory Board. Garren graduated from UNLV in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics. Upon his graduation from UNLV, Garren worked as a registered representative with Prudential Bache Securities. In 1989, he accepted a management position as General Manager of NYLIFE Advisors, the financial planning division of New York Life, Ins. Co. Four years later, Garren and several associates created their own broker-dealer, Union Equity Partners, Inc., which was directly involved with the financing of the Stratosphere Tower and the Badlands Golf Course, both located in the Las Vegas Valley. In 1996, Garren took his extensive experience in the financial industry and combined it with an entrepreneurial vision to form Sepede and Associates Financial Planning. In 2000, they joined with LPL Financial Corporation, America's largest independent broker/dealer*. For six years, he was also the NBC TV 3 local and national Business News Correspondent during which time he held a series of interviews with CNN's Lou Dobbs regarding various local and national financial issues. He is also a past member of the Lied Animal Shelter's Advisory Board. Garren has earned the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) from fi360, an organization offering training, tools and resources to promote a culture of fiduciary responsibility and improve the decision making processes of fiduciaries. The AIF® designation signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. Garren has lived in Las Vegas for more than 50 years and currently enjoys a busy life with his wife, Janet, and his sons, Cameron and Ryan. Stephanie, a CFP® professional and an LPL Financial Advisor, has been working in the financial services industry for over twenty years. Beginning in 1999 as an administrative assistant at Sepede & Associates, she quickly became an integral part in the running and expansion of the firm. In 2013, she took on the role of Operations Manager of Strategic Wealth Management Group, Inc. In 2015, she completed her Series 7 and Series 66 exams (held through LPL Financial) to become an LPL Licensed Sales Assistant. She obtained her CFP® certification in October of 2020 and, as of November 2021, is now an LPL Financial Advisor. Stephanie was born and raised in Las Vegas and she is currently raising her own family in her native city. A daughter of two working class parents, she understands the hard work and discipline it takes to accumulate personal wealth and considers it her honor and privilege to be trusted with the financial matters of our clients. Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, completing a degree in English and Counseling that she feels helps her in her mission to greater support our clients. While not working she, along with her husband, are busy managing a household and raising their two daughters.
