Antonio Falcao

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Antonio has always had a passion for science, knowing from an early age that he wanted to work in healthcare. He had a particular interest in both Physics and Biology, and it was the link between these two sciences that led him towards pursuing Audiology. In 2012, Antonio decided to further his knowledge in the area and started his studies for a Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from the University of Bangalore, India. After completing his degree and working for a year around his home town of Goa, Antonio took the massive leap and moved to England so he could undertake a Masters degree in Audiology at the University of Southampton in 2017. Antonio felt it was time to begin looking for a new challenge, somewhere he could carry on developing his skills, which is when he discovered THCP. "Having worked within the NHS, I was looking for an organisation which holds the same key values around service and patient care as I do, and that's when I decided to join The Hearing Care Partnership. Outside of work I enjoy reading books on science, economics, politics and history. I am also an avid traveller and keen explorer of National Trust properties."

Aphra Baker

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Aphra decided to take up a career in Audiology when she met her (now) husband, Matt. He was enjoying his job in hearing care so much that it inspired her to follow this path. After completing her education, Aphra began her audiology training with the Hearing Aid Council and passed in 2005 with distinction. Following this, she went straight into working as a full-time audiologist in a domiciliary role, covering areas across the South, London and Surrey. Since then, Aphra has gained valuable experience working in optical practices, giving her an insight into working as part of a team as well as working alongside optometrists. In 2013, she was given the position of Senior Audiologist and became heavily involved with the training of other audiologists, specialising in hearing aid accessories and offering a more holistic solution to her patients' hearing care needs. Aphra has also hosted numerous talks to educate care home staff and residents about hearing, ear health and hearing tests. "I simply love working for The Hearing Care Partnership! After many years working within the industry, I feel that I have found the company where I belong. I am so pleased to be able to offer a patient-centred approach, with the best and most thorough testing methods and a superb level of aftercare. It is wonderful to work with such a supportive team who help me to expand my knowledge and be the best audiologist I can be. Alpha Baker was superb. Professional, confident, knowledgeable; put me at my ease, friendly, smart, easy to talk to, listened carefully to all I said. Diagnosed and sorted my problem and referred on to appropriate agencies for treatment. Would recommend her without any hesitation. I recently had a ear wax removal appointment with Aphra. The consultation was very friendly and extremely thorough. As well as carrying out the ear wax removal very efficiently, Aphra noticed an issue in my right ear. She then took the time to write to my Doctor suggesting a referral to the ear, throat and nose clinic and provided supporting pictures also. All in all, I couldn't recommend the Hearing Care Partnership more highly! It was a first class professional service which has improved my mums hearing from 7% mid range up to 80% which I can not tell you how much that has changed her life from missing everything what was said to being able to join in to conversations again, thank you so much Matt Baker. I can not recommend these guys enough, Many thanks, Paul Crosby.

Austin has a young family and spends his spare time enjoying nature and outdoor pursuits: "I love getting out into the great outdoors, whether hiking or cycling, or just indulging in a round of golf!" My first visit to Austin Timoney was by necessity. My hearing had deteriorated significantly and I was a walk in. Over three visits he was able to pinpoint the problems, write a report for my doctor and suggest and fit the correct hearing aids. Once fitted they have been a remarkable success and restored my everyday hearing to a comfortable degree, much to the relief of my wife and the neighbours whilst watching TV. Austin is calm, knowledgeable and friendly and I will continue relying on his expertise in future years. Had some new hearing aids from The Hearing care partnership in Cheltenham. Excellent service from Austin who explained everything really clearly and was very knowledgeable.Showed real patience and answered all my questions very thoroughly. Would highly recommend practice especially Austin.

Celeste de Freitas

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Celeste is a Speech Therapist and Audiologist from South Africa, with 24 years of experience in Diagnostic Audiology and hearing aid fitting. "I am absolutely passionate about providing the best service for all patients, improving their quality of life and their communicative abilities. I thrive on problem-solving and continual learning, always striving to improve myself. I believe the formation of authentic and empathetic relationships with patients is vital to genuine interaction and trust. My role as an Audiologist allows me to empower patients through a better self-understanding about their hearing and how hearing aids improve their communication and their links to family and friends, as well as improving brain networks. "I am looking forward to sharing my skills and learning from the THCP team. I had a hearing check with Celeste in Eastbourne. I was amazed at how thorough it was. Celeste was very informative and explained every step. A great service that I would recommend to everyone I am so glad I found this service. Historically, I had gone to the doctor for ear wax removal but found this service providing suction removal of ear wax which is so much better and Celeste who carried out the removal was exceptional in her professionalism - I would highly recommend this service to anyone. Would highly recommend the hearing care partnership. Celeste has been extremely helpful and is in contact regularly to ensure I am completely happy with my new hearing aids. Was able to do a repair very quickly. Fantastic and friendly service. This examination was excellent and most rewarding. Celeste began by asking about my hearing and matters where it may be especially important such as my pastimes (I forgot to mention my increasing interest in listening to radio recordings and podcasts). She described the steps that the examination would follow and began by inspecting my ears. There was wax that had to be removed and Celeste did that gently and carefully using microsuction. I knew the ears had been well cleaned, not just because of the way they felt, but because Celeste showed me images before and after the cleaning as well as pieces of wax she had removed. She suggested I used a different product for keeping my ears free of excess wax, advice that I have followed. The hearing tests then followed using different sounds at different volumes and recognition of word sounds. It ended with Celeste confirming that my hearing was within normal limits. Later she emailed me a copy of the audiogram to confirm the results. From the outset I found Celeste very approachable and I never felt that I should not ask a question or make a comment. For instance, regarding the hearing tests, I told her that I was conscious that I was tempted to guess some sounds at low volumes; and that when a sound was loud, I would be confident of hearing it when the sound started and indicate my hearing at that point but that when a sound was scarcely audible, I often became aware of the sound only at the point when it stopped: I felt I would be guessing until the sound stopped so I would indicate my hearing at that point. I was reassured when Celine clearly understood what I thought may have been muddled and trivial comments and assured me that the system provided for such possibilities. Throughout the examination Celine showed knowledge and experience both in our conversations and by working in a diligent, methodical way, for me a sign of a professional practitioner. Celeste's attitude and approach gave me complete confidence in the results and left me feeling that the examination had been time well spent. A very professional and friendly hearing assessment and service was provided by Celeste and Natalie at Bexhill. Thank you very much. I saw Celeste at Martin Steel in Arundel for a check-up on my hearing aids. Both my hearing aids and I were given really excellent professional care. Expert, skilled and thorough, with explanation provided to me throughout. This, coupled with Celeste's very pleasant and friendly manner, made for a notably good experience. I would certainly recommend this practice highly. Oh, and Celeste also provided me with useful information for my husband to help him amend his ways re communication with the hard-of-hearing! I recently had a hearing test conducted by Celeste in Baracloughs (Battle). Not only was Celeste extremely thorough and professional, she was also very informative and personable. Having had hearing aids for almost twenty years my quest to combat my increasing hearing loss has proven difficult and frustrating. Over recent years, my hearing loss has increased and despite my attempts with a number of providers to improve my situation with new hearing aids and frequent adjustments, it was all to no avail. I know I had reached that point where I was starting to close down. Conversations had become really difficult with constant requests from me for them to repeat what had been said which was frustrating for both sides. My wife suggested that I try Barracloughs in Battle, who are part of the Hearing Care Partnership, so I made an appointment for an hearing assessment. The appointment with their audiologist Celeste De Freitas was very thorough and clearly confirmed the extent of my hearing loss. As a result, I have my new hearing aids and the difference is incredible, no more asking the family to repeat themselves and no more guessing or trying to lip read what people are saying. I can hear bird song and so many other things that I had forgotten about. Thank you Celeste, you have given me my hearing back which has made such a difference in so many ways. Recently had a hearing test with Celeste de Freitas at Bexhill. The test was comprehensive and at all times Celeste carefully explained what was being done and what the results meant. I agreed a contract for hearing aids and have since returned to collect them and then have a follow up appointment last week. At all times Celeste took time to explain the fitting of the aids and their care. She has been friendly and professional throughout. Celeste was very assured and assuring, polite and professional, all as I would expect from anyone associated with Martin Steels, Arundel. I was so impressed by the way Celeste welcomed a family member I needed to bring with me to a follow-up consultation. She took great care in informing both of us about the interaction of the hearing aids with the brain. Her attention to detail, and the time taken to explain the use, cleaning and maintenance of my hearing aids was exemplary. My quality of life has improved and the ability to hear sounds such as birdsong again is amazing. Thank you for such a professional and enjoyable service. I was seen by Audiologist Celeste de Freitas. She was very careful, professional and gentle. Each step of my treatment and the following tests were described beforehand and the results explained thoroughly.

"I am excited to be working for The Hearing Care Partnership as they allow me to work to very high clinical standards, using the very best hearing aid technology and to spend the time with my patients so they can achieve the very best outcomes. After wearing NHS hearing aids for about two years , it was a delight to be able to hear all about me and listen to the radio at the same time. It is also so useful to be able to fine tune the performance. I had the most excellent service from Claire at Bridgeland Street and the after service has been excemplary . I really am most grateful to Claire and the little darlings in my ears. Excellent visit. I went to check my hearing and was treated with empathy, care and professionalism by Claire Francis. Each part of the process was well explained and it was a very interesting experience. She resolved an issue I had promptly and efficiently going the "extra mile" to do so.

Elaine Clifford

Faisal Imran

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Faisal began his career working in the NHS at his local hospital, as part of his training placement for his BSc degree in Healthcare Science. From the very beginning, Faisal started building his knowledge and experience in everything from hearing aid repairs to patient care. He worked so hard that the hospital's Lead Audiologist offered him a full time role just eight weeks into his training, which was previously unheard of for students on his degree course. Upon his graduation, Faisal was also awarded "Student Placement of the Year" to recognize his contributions to the hospital. After completing his degree, Faisal then spent a further year working for the NHS, enjoying his time with both the patients and staff, before deciding to join The Hearing Care Partnership. I went to see Faisal for an assessment on my hearing and also some advice on my tinnitus. The advice, guidance and reassurance I got was outstanding. I went in to the appointment worried about a few things and by the time I left I had ways to deal with everything. Faisal was polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and his company. I visited the Brighouse branch for a hearing test. The staff were very friendly and I was promptly lead to the audiology area, the audiologist, Faisal, was very polite and courteous, he explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, he firstly checked both ears, showed me the results on a screen, then suction cleaned both ears and again, showed me the results on screen, unbelievably clean. I then had a sound test, again, everything was explained before and then after the test, the details on the graph were daunting, but once Faisal had explained things, it all became a lot clearer. I would certainly recommend service and I will definitely be going back if the needs arise in future. Family and friends have been made aware too. Thank you

Grichma Trambaclal

Professional and friendly service. Free hearing check and very fast service if hearing aids are needed. This was my first time having hearing aids and I was nervous about using them. But everything was explained perfectly and now it's like a whole new world of sound! Thank you some much Grichma! I was seen by Grichma Trambaclal at Edmunds & Slatter in Blaby. I was impressed by how thorough the tests were and her explanations of what she was testing and the results obtained. I felt she was highly competent and very pleasant. There was no pressure from her to make a decision on what to do next. I will, however, go back to see her again for the next step. I arranged an appointment with Grichmal at Blaby Leicester. I had been offered a hearing test after my eye test. I was somewhat apprehensive. From the first I relaxed as it immediately became clear that this was a first class professional service. I was shocked when I realised how much I was missing of every day speech. With wearing masks hearing in shops or in groups getting the full story had become frustrating. During the test I realised that I had been lip reading for quite a while and masks made this impossible, hence misunderstandings and not wanting to keep asking for clarification. It was obvious that the free test was offered as a prelude to a sale, but one was never made to feel that it was a commercial exercise. When I was given the hearing aids to try it was like clear mountain air in my head. I did not want to take them out. That sold them. It was only at this point we talked about cost. It frightened me but I decided to go ahead, as the benefits were so great. I was given a day or two to think of the options, then I chose mid range appliances. These have helped greatly and it seems as if all the world has now been to elocution lessons. Part of me still wonders what the top of the range ones would have been like? I was so happy with the wax removal and how pleasantly it was done. That was a surprise, but it did help. I had not realised that would part of the test. I now have the aids and wear them comfortably. The after care and interest has been so personal and helpful, with an extra appointment offered if needed. My husband also had the hearing test. And has the aids now. Our TV volume has halved! Gordon is really enjoying his classical music again, as the whole range of sound is available to him. And we are no longer having to ask each other to repeat things. It has reduced the stresses and frustrations of a senior marriage considerably. Pillow talk is now limited though! That last thought of the day has to wait to the next morning, if we can remember it! Well done, the entire service, Heather and Gordon. I visited the hearing care partnership in Coventry when I was at my lowest point in my Tinnitus journey. I cannot speak highly enough of the audiologist Grichma who was supportive, kind and patient with me. I had a hearing test undertaken, some ear wax removal (through the micro suction) and on the ear sound generators (hearing aids without amplification) purchased (and programmed for tinnitus). Grichma scheduled follow-up appointments to see how I was doing and when I needed filters changing or extra batteries on the in ear sound generators this was swift and efficient. I credit Grichma as one of the key people who has helped me get back to living my life despite my Tinnitus. I would recommend anyone who has any audiology needs to visit her and the hearing care partnership.

Haleema Bi

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Having recently graduated from Aston University with a degree in Audiology, Heleema joined The Hearing Care Partnership not long after. During her time at university, Haleema had a placement year in a hospital environment where she developed her clinical skills. She also worked as a hearing care assistant for a private hearing company, which helped to maximise her product and audiological knowledge. I recently had a hearing test with Haleema and have to say she was absolutely brilliant. Extremely polite, very thorough and explained everything in detail. I felt totally at ease and would recommend any one who hasn't had a hearing test recently to have one. You just never know what is going on inside your ears!!

Holly Proud

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Holly's passion for audiology stems from having experienced first-hand a close relative with hearing loss, and seeing the difference that wearing hearing aids made to their life. This spurred Holly onto gaining her degree in Audiology from De Montfort University in Leicester. Joining The Hearing Care Partnership in 2021 as an Audiologist and hearing aid expert was the next step for Holly, whose decision was made through her love of helping those in need. "I love how rewarding it can be to fit those who struggle to hear, with hearing aids and make a big improvement on their lives. When I am not in clinic, I enjoy walking my springer spaniel, Ivy, around parks in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. I also enjoy cooking for family and friends and travelling."

Iram Zaman

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
  • Consultant
After completing her degree in Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham, Iram started her career in Audiology with a BSc from the University of Bristol. After this she went on to work for the NHS for 10 years. Working in the NHS allowed Iram to have exposure to more complex hearing losses, in a variety of clinics and to fully assess, fit and make recommendations for both hearing and balance patients. Iram Zaman, the consultant was excellent - friendly, approachable and informative. She explained every procedure and prepared me for the sensations I would be experiencing. I have had a blockage in my right ear for several weeks and my hearing has obviously been affected. Iram showed me the pictures of the inside of both my ears so I could understand exactly what the problem was. After the syringing, which was totally painless, the improvement in my ear and hearing was immediate. I had a thorough hearing test and I am aware where my hearing is on 'the normality scale'! I shall continue to have regular hearing tests in the same way my eyes are tested.

Throughout Leanne's career, she has worked in a range of settings and helped many people, both in the NHS and privately. Having lived in Manchester for almost 12 years, Leanne is now moving back to Northern Ireland. It was whilst searching for work in Northern Ireland that Leanne was introduced to The Hearing Care Partnership. "I am delighted to have joined The Hearing Care Partnership and really looking forward to providing the people of Northern Ireland with a high-quality service. The company share all the values I hold myself, and patient care is at the core of everything we do". Outside of work, Leanne enjoys spending time with her family, walking and running. I recently had my hearing test with Leanne Corrigan in Enniskillen. I can honestly say, the experience was absolutely fantastic. Leanne was so informative at the outset and explained to me how the human hearing system worked etc. She then went on to carry out various tests which were explained to me throughout the process. After all the tests were completed, Leanne talked me through the results and clearly explained my options. Needless to say, at this moment in time, I did not require any aids however we agreed a follow up appointment in 12 months. Leanne put me at ease, was professional, understanding and so informative. I will be more than happy to recommend her to family and friends. What a pleasant and flawless experience! Carlo

Matt Baker

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Matt came to Audiology slightly later in life, after feeling unfulfilled within his retail management career. He sought out a dramatic change and, after seeing an advert offering training to become an audiologist, he decided to take a leap of faith. Out of over four hundred applicants, Matt was selected as one of twelve to take on the training and the rest, as they say, is history! Qualifying in 1999, Matt has primarily worked as a domiciliary audiologist, but has also gained valuable experience providing hearing care across optical practices. Matt was promoted to Senior Audiologist and has been involved in the mentorship, training and supervision of a number of other audiologists. He has also given talks and presentations on a number of areas of audiological care. "After over twenty years in the hearing care profession, working for a number of different providers, I feel as though I've finally found my home. The Hearing Care Partnership is client-focused, clinical audiological care at its absolute finest. We offer our patients a level of assessment and aftercare I've never been in a position to offer until now, and I'm so proud to be a part of such a passionate, supportive and caring team. Matt Baker in Gnosall Staffordshire was absolutely brilliant he explained all about ears and ear wax and mine was really bad after years of backing up in the ear canal. At my first visit Matt advised he couldn't sort the ear wax until 2 weeks of using drops. I also had a thorough hearing test. Cant recommend the hearing care partnership and Max enough!!! An excellent service. I saw Matt Baker who was helpful, friendly and honest. Would throughly recommend The Hearing Care Partnership. Thank you! Matt was incredibly helpful. I have known for a while that I needed hearing aids and had needed to prepare myself for the appt. Matt was great and did a very thorough set of hearing tests, explained all the options available to me based on my home and work needs and overall I felt involved and listened too. No pressure and not rushed. On day two with my new hearing aids and they are amazing. The fitting process was really easy and Matt has followed up already. Having suffered with tinnitus for a year I decided to book a consultation with THCP in Bridgnorth and met with Matt Baker. He was superb in every respect. He talked thoroughly through my circumstances, clearly explained every test and went through the results to explain what they showed. Matt's clarity and knowledge helped me understand as well as be reassured that I didn't have any hearing issues. Matt even offered to write to my GP in order to help me further. Professional, knowledgeable and reassuring throughout I couldn't recommend Matt highly enough - no attempt to rush the appointment even when it was clear that I wouldn't need hearing aids. I would have been more than happy to have paid a fee for the consultation so the fact that this level of customer service is free is amazing. Thank you Matt and THCP!

My audiologist, Matt Whettinsteel at THCP Blandford, has been excellent throughout and with my wife, we were both so kindly reassured by his professional mannerism & exceptional kindness. An excellent, personal but professional service from Matt Whettingsteel in Blandford. I have been wearing hearing aids for four years, but following a full examination, and micro suction by Matt, the replacement aids recommended, and now fitted, have given me back quality hearing. The follow-up service cannot be faulted. Highly recommended for anyone with hearing problems, and being worried about being pressured to buy. Thank Matt. See you in six months. I took my elderly mother to Matt Whettingsteel at Robert Friths Blandford for Audiometry test and resulting hearing aid selection and purchase. Matt guided us through the entire process in a very proffessional way and as a result Mum is now enjoying a much better quality of life. Cannot recommend Matt highly enough. Thank you.

Mohammed Nabeel

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Mohammed studied at De Montfort University and at James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth. He then worked in the NHS, first at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust where he fitted aids for thousands of patients, with a range of complex hearing losses. He later moved to Newcastle NHS Trust where, working closely with highly skilled ENT consultants, he greatly expanded his knowledge and expertise. Following this, Mohammed chose to move to The Hearing Care Partnership, because "I have access to state-of-the-art technology, to allow patients to hear as best as possible, with no limitations. THCP provide more clinical testing during their consultations than what I could do during a routine NHS appointment." I was unable to adjust to previous hearing aids but this has been a different and more rewarding experience. I use Maskells for my eyes and that are outstanding. Once they recommended Mohammed for ears I approached him with no reservation. His assessment of my hearing losss recommended the type of aids I needed. He did not try a hard sell, just simple accurate professional advice. What he recommended works so much better than anticipated. Great service and follow up.

Nikisha Oladipupo

Job Titles:
  • Audiologist
Nikisha has been a fully qualified audiologist for more than seven years, having graduated from the University of Bristol in Summer 2012. After gaining her degree, she worked as part of a fantastic NHS team in Bath for two years, which greatly developed her clinical expertise. Following her time in the NHS, Nikisha wanted to broaden her knowledge further, and so five years ago moved into the private sector, where she has been able to continue to build her extensive skillset. I'd been struggling with wax build up and deafness for nearly a year and had had two previous appointments with other audiologists in different companies. Both had insisted on using micro suction even though the sticky nature of the wax made it an uncomfortable and unsuccessful experience. I called THCP and had a telephone consultation with Nikisha Oladipupo who was incredibly thorough and professional, saying that I could have irrigation rather than micro suction. I felt that I was in safe hands and was confident I'd be sorted out this time. It was very easy to book an appointment and the whole process in shop was very safe and Covid conscious. Within minutes of starting the procedure, my right ear was clear. The left ear took a little longer but even so, after just 20 comfortable and painless minutes I could hear again! Delighted!! A hearing test followed and I was not put under any pressure to buy a hearing aid. Nikisha was professional, efficient, friendly and most importantly, successful in clearing the wax. I would give her six stars if they were available and can't praise her highly enough. Thank you Nikisha!! Highly recommended.
