Anin Badra

Job Titles:
  • Experienced Veterinary Nurse
  • Veterinary Nurse
Anin is a super smart veterinary nurse and we are extremely lucky to have her. She has an exceptional attention to detail. She has helped overhaul all of our documents, hospital charts, anaesthetic monitoring forms and the handouts we give to clients about common animal conditions. Anin is a superstar of veterinary nursing. Originally from Brazil, the highly intelligent Anin is fluent in multiple languages and is a passionate animal lover and outstanding veterinary nurse. Anin's favourite animal is the elephant because they are smart, empathetic and beautiful animals. The elephants emotional capacity warms her heart and reminds her about the most beautiful part of humanity. Anin has pets. She has pet rats due to rental constraints but would really like a dog and is adamant that Treendale Pet Medical should get a clinic greyhound. Anin's rats are called Plaguey, Dizzy and Vaxx. They are cute little munchkins, each with their favourite flavour of causing trouble. Vaxx is tenacious and athletic like a ninja (aka escape artist). Dizzy is aggressively into food. Plaguey is the favourite, although Anin concedes she's not supposed to say that. Plaguey is the sweetest of the 3… and also the biggest threat to cables the world has ever seen. Anin has always loved animals and wanted to work with them. She enjoys their company but is also fascinated by the wonders of their biology, behaviour, cognition…. When Anin was a child she wanted to be a zoologist. In general, she is attracted to the fields of biology, medicine and psychology too, all of which are part of vet nursing. Anin thought about veterinary medicine, but wanted to test the water before going for a DVM. Despite Dr Rob pestering her about going to Murdoch to study veterinary science, so far she finds nursing a more appealing job than that of a veterinarian. Anin loves being a veterinary nurse because of the opportunity to do a job that matters. Anin likes to help pets and loves that any advice she may be able to pass on to a pet owner can change the life of their pet - and also of the owner! As part of Anin's commitment to furthering nurse excellence, she volunteers at the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia and is part of the AVNAT registration scheme.
