Laura is the Director of Architecture at Weiss Architecture. She has led collaborative teams that focus on a variety of complex project types including institutional, government, and hospitality projects. Her dedication to resolving design issues and meeting client's goals is evident from project conception through construction administration. Laura's private and public projects demonstrate her commitment to sustainable design practices that balance client needs and budget. With her calm style, design enthusiasm, and organization, she has worked with owners, consultants, and contractors in creating places that simultaneously inspire and meet clients' core needs.

Richard Weiss founded Weiss Architecture in 2003, after working at both local and international design firms. As lead designer for a diverse group of commercial, workplace, hospitality, academic and civil buildings, his understanding of memorable placemaking provides clients with cost effective solutions that transform their environment. Richard has chaired and participated on various local and state design boards and design juries. He was the 2009 recipient of the AIA Young Architect Award.
