With the growth of the Western area it was decided in 1956 that the clubs name needed to be more representative of the region and the name of Western Suburbs was adopted...
We aim to develop football in the Porirua area and beyond through leadership, enjoyment and provision of development opportunities. The club promote the name of Western Suburbs across Wellington and throughout New Zealand, and are synonymous with success, a professional attitude, sportsmanship and fair play...
Western Suburbs Football Club is the largest sports club in the Porirua basin and at the end of each season host our junior tournament where over 1000 young footballers get to enjoy a weekend with their team mates and families.
