Aja Drury

Aja came to the WURX team with a desire to roll up her sleeves and get the job done. She has a multifaceted skill set, with backgrounds in accounting, bookkeeping, and office administration. Every task she completes demonstrates her organizational skills, attention to detail, and grit. She is actively pursuing her BS in Business Administration and Accounting and will then pursue CPA licensure. Aja is extremely goal-driven whether it be professionally or in her personal life, and succeeds at anything she puts her mind to. Not only is she extremely well rounded as a professional, but also has a kind heart, and demonstrates compassion for any individual she meets. Her motivation, integrity, education, experience, and heart is an asset to WH Companies and their clients! Close

Brad Green

Job Titles:

  • Civil Professional Engineer & Survey Manager
Brad Green joined WH Companies as a Civil Professional Engineer & Survey Manager in 2020, specializing in surveying, engineering, and design for WH clients. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and is currently attending online classes from the University of Wyoming to become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor. Brad says that he enjoys the team atmosphere in the WH office and the friendly and knowledgeable staff: "Rikki and Ryan have shown leadership by ensuring that everyone has what they need to complete the projects."

Bryce Carter

Bryce Carter's positive attitude is contagious and his skill set incredibly vast, which makes him a very valuable member of the WH team. Bryce always comes to work with a smile on his face and a pep in his step. No matter the project, Bryce is always willing to dive in head-first. Bryce graduated from Casper College, as well as the McMurray Training Center, and his experience and work ethic are second-to-none. Bryce is passionate about the work that he does, as well as his coworkers. He's also passionate about his family and his friends and, no matter the situation, Bryce is always there to offer a smile and a helping hand.

Cody Murray

When Cody Murray signed on to be a Drafter for Western Heritage, he brought with him 10+ years of experience with AutoCAD and various other drafting programs. Cody loves building and making things in his free time, and that creativity also presents itself in every design that he creates for Western Heritage. Cody has an AAS in Drafting and Design and he puts that education and experience to use every day at WH. Cody loves the family atmosphere of Western Heritage and he is passionate about his own family as well. He is also passionate about spending time in the great outdoors, which is where his creativity thrives. Close

Darci Neal

Darci Neal is a problem solver by nature, and her time management and organizational skills streamline the day to day at WH in incredible ways that serve the team and the clients. As Western Heritage's Administrative Assistant, Darci is tasked with a wide variety of jobs to do and problems to solve. And she loves it! She loves the WH team and the leadership. Darci is passionate about the continued success of WH and pushes herself to learn and grow, even in the smallest of ways.

Joe Johnston

  • Branch Manager
As the Branch Manager for Western Heritage, Joe Johnston is a pivotal component of the team. With over 12 years of Civil Engineering experience, as well as construction experience and project management skills, Joe is a vital member of Western Heritage. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering but, even more than that, he has a passion to solve problems and offer solutions. Joe is also passionate about helping clients accomplish their goals for natural resource projects, especially when it comes to water resources. The company culture of Western Heritage is what he loves the most. He loves that WH values its employees and invests in their personal lives. The WH team doesn't just care about what their employees bring to the table in terms of work ethic or skillset; they care about the actual livelihood and happiness of their employees and that is why Joe is proud to be a part of Western Heritage. Matt Peterson

Matt Peterson is known for building relationships with his clients. There is no project too big or too small because they are all important to someone, which makes them important to Matt! Matt enjoys the diversity of the projects that he gets to work on- from large ranch improvements to cases of a small landowner just trying to make life a little easier. Nothing makes Matt happier than to see a client at the end of a project, knowing that his team helped that client achieve their goals. He is passionate about helping young engineers in his field. Matt believes he's been fortunate enough to have good mentors in his own development, and he likes to pass that goodwill on to others-that's one his favorite things about being a part of the WH team.

Rikki Altenburg

Rikki's drive, determination, experience, customer service, client relations, accounting, and management skills make Rikki an integral part of the Western Heritage team, and she strives to lead by example. Rikki loves building a family of employees that want to work, and she takes pride in each person knowing they are greatly valued on her team. She also loves the projects that WH is able to work on. The Western Heritage team gets to make a difference in peoples' lives, and they get to fulfill visions and dreams for their landowners. Rikki loves that she is able to become lifelong friends with their clients. Rikki is passionate about people; her employees, her clients, her vendors and more. Relationships are extremely important to her, and that mentality pulses through each of their companies. Rikki is also passionate about land transformation and fulfilling the visions of Western Heritage's clientele. WH gets to help shape and develop legacy properties it's always extremely satisfying to see the joy from the owner- during and after the project. Close

Ryan Altenburg

Ryan is the Co-Owner and Principal of WH Companies. Having worked in natural resources for over 20 years, utilizing his Agriculture Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, Ryan works to combine engineering principles with biological and agricultural sciences, allowing him to develop systems and processes that help improve water and natural resource systems and how they are managed and operated. He has a passion for helping landowners define their vision, then he and his team create it. When Ryan isn't working, he enjoys fishing, hunting, roping and spending time with his wife and two young children.
