WINDING STAIR FARM

We recently opened our new retail building at the Nursery, here in Franklin, which is home to houseplants, tools, and gifts, in addition to our diverse range of quality plants and farm produce. We have dedicated ourselves to increasing our range of available native plants; an important part of our mission to be more sustainable and to support our local ecosystems... The Mountain Farm (a private residence) is less than a mile from the Appalachian Trail and sits on the Nantahala River. We began the whole shebang here, which is now mostly devoted to pasture for sheep and poultry. One acre is set aside for some vegetable production. This location is also home to our new grist mill.
