Jim Gleason, President: Jim got his start sub contracting from builders on the east end of long island. from there he went to work servicing designers, architects and builders in the molding and flooring sector, where he discovered his love for the rich beauty and endless design possibilities a wide plank floor offers. Soon after, with guidance and support from colleagues and friends, he opened his first wide plank flooring business which grew to be one of the most prestigious on Long Island.
With the knowledge gained from running a successful business and working hand-in-hand with some of the most respected names in the business, Jim sold his first company and opened Woodwrights Wide Plank Flooring and Architectural Doors with the goal of creating the finest flooring in the country and backing it up with a client care experience that is second to none.
