Jake Herman joined Woodbourne in 2007 to lead the firm's real estate private equity investments in Canada. He is a fourth generation real estate professional. Several years prior, Jake was head of the... real estate investment banking, and co-head of mergers and acquisitions, at HSBC Securities (Canada). HSBC exited the market in 2002, and Jake and his team migrated to Desjardins Securities, where he was Managing Director of real estate investment banking. During his tenure, Jake served as lead investment banker for the two largest manufactured housing community IPOs in Canada, raised billions in equity capital for real estate issuers, and advised on numerous high profile M&A mandates in the real estate sector. Prior to HSBC, Jake worked at Scotia Capital and Gordon Capital in investment banking. He began his career working with Citcom Corporation and Viking Rideau Corporation.
