Our mission is to provide a balance of quality recreation and leisure opportunities while protecting assets, natural resources, and open space to benefit present and future generations... We provide a full range of year-round recreation programs, including athletics, fitness programs, education programs, summer camps, and special events... The Winnetka Park District covers 4.8 square miles in northern Cook County adjacent to Lake Michigan, approximately 17 miles north of downtown Chicago.
